We spoke to Euan from Sovereign at Burn It Down Festival — and this was probably one of the most interesting chats I’ve had with any band I’ve interviewed.

It was supposed to be a 15-minute chat.

We ended up talking for about an HOUR. 😂

Love it when that happens.

We covered all sorts — the hardcore scene, bands coming up, bands splitting up, and our mutual love for Slayer.

In this short snippet from the interview, I ask Euan one simple question:

Where does the name Sovereign come from?

The full hour-long interview will be hitting our YouTube channel very, very shortly, so keep your eyes peeled. 👀

This is definitely one you’ll want to catch. by @finalchargetv

MADBALL !! SET IT OFF !!

Today’s post… this is one we never thought we’d get to make.

We had the absolute honour of sitting down with Freddy from Madball at the first show of their UK run — and honestly, it still doesn’t feel real.

Straight after their set, Freddy gave us some of his time, and that alone was unreal.

This was a full-on bucket list moment.
Not just seeing Madball live… but sitting down with Freddy himself — talking about new music, the history of the band, where the name comes from, and everything they’ve got coming — was just insane.

This interview’s coming in parts, so don’t sleep on it. Show it love.

MADBALL. FREDDY. LEGENDS.

Still buzzing. Still shocked.
Bucket list — ticked off.

SANGUISUGABOGG

We’re absolutely stoked to drop this interview for you guys today. It was a pretty surreal moment being able to interview such an insanely talented band, especially in the death metal world.

Devin and Drew were so welcoming, and we genuinely had such a good time chatting and getting to know them a little bit. The show was absolutely insane – for a death metal band to sound as good live as they do on record is a massive accomplishment. And seeing a sold-out show on a Monday in February was pretty wild.

This is part one, with a few more parts coming soon. The full interview will be dropping on YouTube soon and there are even a couple of little bloopers in the full video, so definitely check that out when it drops!!

So for Negative Frames album release show on the 23rd of October at Blondies in London, we wanted to do something a little bit special.

We’ve teamed up with Negative Frame and Ghost Ship Art to create this limited-edition print, made specifically for the show.

You’re watching the artwork come together here from scratch, and there’s only going to be a limited number of these made.

So if you’re coming down on the 23rd, you’ll be able to get your hands on one at the show.

Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

See you at Blondies. by @finalchargetv

Here’s some shots of Your Demise absolutely crushing it at Burn It Down Festival. They had a wicked response from the crowd and brought some serious energy to the room.

If you missed them at the festival because you were off checking out another band, don’t panic — you’ve got another chance. They’re supporting Negative Frame at their album release show on 23rd October at Blondie’s in London.

Make sure you get down and check them out. That’s gonna be an insane night.

With festival season officially over, we’re looking towards the end-of-year gigs… and there are some absolutely stacked lineups that we cannot wait to get to. 🔥

We’ve got Sunami and Desolate. Despised Icon and Carnifex. Big Ass Truck hitting the UK next year with Pintglass. Distant supporting Spite next year. Crown Magnetar coming back to the UK on another heavy-ass tour, and Signs of the swarm hitting their heading UK run!!

And our closest one? The boys in Negative Frame, with Your Demise supporting for their album release show.

We’re absolutely ecstatic to get back out there, catch these shows and bring you even more interviews — finding out more about the bands we all love listening to and giving you a look behind the music.

So make sure you drop us a follow, grab your tickets and get yourselves down to these shows, because they’re going to be absolutely insane.

The end of this year is looking heavy, and next year is already shaping up to be an absolute banger!

Grove Street at Burn It Down Festival

We caught up with Sully and Andy of Grove Street ahead of their set at Burn It Down Festival, and from the minute we sat down, it was absolute crack.

We chatted about where the Grove Street name actually came from, how they were feeling ahead of hitting the stage, and, naturally, we had to dig for some information about new music.

And they gave us a little something…

The new album features a mystery guest vocalist. 👀

Who? They weren’t giving that away.

Here’s our interview with Downpour!

It’s the second time we’ve interviewed these guys now, and it was really exciting to hear some more new tracks from them. They dropped “Memories” not long ago, and it sounds immense.

We dig into what people can expect from these new tracks, what the band have been working on, and how they’re feeling about playing Burn It Down Festival.

The full interview will be on YouTube in the next few days, so keep an eye out for that. And make sure you go and check out the new stuff these boys are putting out, because it is insane!

NEXT UP — TEMPERS FRAY

Next up, we bring you Tempers Fray and our interview with them at Burn It Down Festival.

We caught up with the guys before their set to find out if they were ready to tear it up, what it was like bringing tracks from their new EP into the live set, and, importantly, where the name Tempers Fray actually came from.

We first caught these guys playing alongside Last wishes and MadBall , and they absolutely crushed it. That set immediately got our attention, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on them ever since.

Their new EP is fucking immense, and we seriously can’t wait to see what comes next from this band.

The FULL INTERVIEW will be hitting YouTube in the next few days, so make sure you give Tempers Fray a follow, show them some love, and keep your eyes on the page.

You’re going to want to watch this one.

Ratt Attack interview at Burn It Down Festival. Ratt Attack were one of the first bands on the Saturday, starting the last day of the festival off with a bang. Absolute carnage and chaos in Apple & Parrot, especially that early in the day. Pure energy from start to finish.

The guys were really cool to chat to. They’ve got a wicked sound and vibe, bringing plenty of party vibes, but when you get into the pit, it’s absolute chaos.

These guys have some new music coming soon, so keep an eye on their page. Go and drop them a follow if you haven’t already, and give them a listen if you haven’t heard them before either.

Definitely a band I’d like to see more of, and I’m really interested to hear what their new music sounds like when it drops.

⛓️‍💥 BREAK FIFTY ⛓️‍💥

It is always a pleasure every time we see these boys. Even though Break Fifty were not playing at Burn It Down Festival, we still wanted to sit down and chat with them because we’ve been loving what they’ve been putting out recently with all the singles.

We’re super excited to see what tour dates they come up with next year, and whenever we get that EP or album that we’re all so hungry after, it’s gonna be immense.

We’d love to see these guys on the bill for next year at Burn It Down. I think they would absolutely crush it.

So, if you like heavy-as-fuck music with a bit of emotion and raw energy, then Break Fifty is definitely a band for you.

The full interview of our chat at Burn It Down will be on YouTube very shortly, so make sure you keep an eye on the YouTube page. If you haven’t subscribed, then drop a follow !

And if you’re not following Break Fifty, go and give them a follow.
