I’m currently building a team in the DMV area and looking for motivated people who are interested in building a business within the financial services industry.

You don’t have to know everything starting out. What matters to me is that you’re willing to learn, develop, and put in the work.

I’m helping provide training, mentorship, guidance, and the resources needed to learn the business and build your own business.

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to develop yourself while building something of your own, I’d love to connect.

DM me “DMV” and let’s have a conversation. by @financebarbee

I’ve decided to put a number on the impact I want to make.

My goal is to help 27+ families go into 2027 more financially educated, protected, and intentional about building wealth.

And I want to help put $7 MILLION+ in wealth-building potential back into the hands of families in our community.

WHY?
Because I believe financial education should be accessible before a crisis happens.

Before the unexpected happens.

Before someone realizes they don’t have enough protection.

Before another generation starts from zero.

I want families to understand their options.

I want parents to understand how they can protect what they’re building.

I want young adults to understand that building wealth isn’t only about making more money.

And I want families to have conversations about money, protection, legacy, and their future while they still have time to make intentional decisions.

So this is my commitment:
27+ families.
$7M+ in tax advantaged wealth-building.
One conversation at a time.

This is bigger than a number.

I joined this business in November 2025, and while 2026 has been a year of learning, growing and working behind the scenes, I know I’m ready to step into a different level of intentionality.

So as I prepare for 2027, the GOAL is set:
27+ FAMILIES.
$7M+ IN TAX-ADVANTAGED WEALTH.

My goal is to serve and help families become more intentional about protection, wealth building and their financial future.

27 isn’t the destination. It’s where I’m starting.

Welcome to the beginning of PROJECT 27!
If you believe financial education and generational wealth should be more accessible in our communities, I’d love for you to follow along.

And here’s where you come in.
You don’t have to become a client to help me accomplish this.
You can:
LEARN — Have the conversation for yourself.
SHARE — Send this to someone or repost.
REFER — Introduce me to a family member, friend, coworker, or business owner.
PARTICIPATE — Attend one of my financial education conversations or workshops.

I’m not asking anyone to buy something.
I’m asking people to be willing to learn.
Because sometimes the first step toward changing your financial future is simply realizing there are options by @financebarbee

When @its_atl walks into the office and thinks everybody is locked in…

Meanwhile, the team is handling very important business. 😂

The more you follow VWM, the more you’re going to get to know the personalities behind the company.

You’ll quickly learn who the fashionistas are 👀
Who keeps everybody laughing.
Who’s always talking business.
Who’s competitive.
Who’s quiet until it’s time to work.
And who absolutely cannot be trusted to stay focused when the camera comes out. 😂

You’ve already met a few of them — Austin, Barbara, Raquel and some of the rest of the crew but we want you to really know the people behind VWM, not just the logo.

Because what we’re building is bigger than financial services.

We’re building a culture people actually want to be a part of.

And there’s room for new characters. 👀

📍 DMV: We’re hiring and looking for talent.
🇺🇸 Nationwide: Full-time + part-time remote opportunities available.

No financial-services background required for every opportunity. We’re looking for people with drive, character, coachability and a desire to grow and serve.

Want to see what VWM is like in person?

👇🏾 Comment “OPEN HOUSE” and we’ll send you an invitation to our next VWM Open House.

Come meet the team before you decide whether you want to join it. by @financebarbee

A project title does not create project clarity.

If the expected outcome, decision owner, and review point stay unspoken, capable people can still move in different directions.

Before assigning the first task, take one minute to clarify three things:

1. Expected Outcome
“When this is complete, what will be true?”
Name the finished state before naming every task.

2. Decision Owner
“Who can choose the next step?”
Make authority visible so progress does not pause at every handoff.

3. Review Date
“When will we check direction?”
Choose a point to recalibrate before the project becomes a status-update cycle.

This is not more process for the sake of process. It is a leadership habit that helps people begin with the same picture of success.

Send this to someone stepping into a bigger project role.

Culture is not built only in meetings, values decks, or big moments.

It is built in the standards a leader chooses to model, reinforce, and protect when no one is being reminded.

Preparation. Follow-through. Respect. Ownership.

Pick one standard worth making visible this week. Then let your actions teach it before your words do.

What is one standard you will make visible this week?

When a teammate asks, “What should I do?”, the fastest answer is not always the best leadership response.

If every question ends with you taking the task back, people learn to escalate not to think, prepare, or own the next action.

Try this coaching response instead:

Ask
“What are you seeing?”
“What matters here?”
“What have you already tried?”

Assign
“What will you do next?”
Give the action one clear owner before the conversation ends.

Review
“What happened?”
“What will you adjust?”
Turn the result into learning instead of repeating the rescue.

The point is not to withhold help. It is to give people a structure that grows judgment, preparation, and responsible follow-through.

DM @vwmfinance “OWNERSHIP” to talk about coaching people toward responsible next actions.

I’ve made $70,000 in a month. I’ve also made $15,000 in a month.

And I STILL wouldn’t trade entrepreneurship for a guaranteed paycheck.

When I was a Captain in the Marine Corps, I had a stable six-figure salary. Every two weeks, I knew exactly what was coming.

Now? My income is tied to my performance, leadership, and the value I bring to others. I LOVE THAT!

But here’s what I’ve learned since transitioning out of the military in June:

Your highest-earning month should NEVER become your minimum standard of living.

A $70K month feels incredible until you start making $70K decisions with $15K cash flow.

That’s why I follow three principles:

FLOOR: Keep my family’s lifestyle sustainable.

BUFFER: Build reserves so slower months don’t create desperation.

FUTURE: Turn today’s commissions into tomorrow’s assets.

I believe in earning what you’re worth. But earning six figures and BUILDING six-figure wealth require two different disciplines.

God calls us to be stewards, not just earners.

To my fellow entrepreneurs and sales professionals: What’s been your biggest lesson managing inconsistent income?

👇🏽 Drop it in the comments. Let’s learn from each other.

You started five business ideas this year. Which one did you actually validate?

An idea becomes more useful when it meets the people it is meant to serve.

Before you invest months building in private, give one idea 30 intentional days:

	•	Days 1–7: Define one specific customer and the problem they are already trying to solve.
	•	Days 8–14: Interview five people. Ask about the problem before explaining the idea.
	•	Days 15–21: Test one simple offer with one clear outcome and one real invitation.
	•	Days 22–30: Track the exact objections, questions, and requests you hear.
	•	Day 30: Double down, adjust, release, or repeat—based on evidence, not attachment.

This process does not guarantee a business will work. It helps you replace assumptions with clearer signals before you invest more time, energy, or money.

DM @vwmfinance “VALIDATE” to talk through a more disciplined first test for your next idea.

If your team cannot move until you answer every question, you do not have a capacity problem first. You have a systems problem.

Being needed can feel like leadership until every approval, customer question, and routine task comes back to you. Then the business has no margin, the team has no ownership, and your best energy gets spent repeating answers.

Start smaller than you think:

	•	Pick one decision that keeps finding its way back to you.
	•	Write the standard once.
	•	Walk one person through it.
	•	Let them own the next repetition.

That is not stepping away from leadership. It is making leadership more useful.

The goal is not to do everything faster. The goal is to build work that does not need to be rebuilt from memory every day.

Save this for your next systems reset.

The strongest follow-up does not sound like a reminder. It sounds like a reason to continue a valuable conversation.

Sales professionals often worry about being “too persistent.” But frequency is not usually the issue. The issue is whether the message gives the other person something meaningful to respond to.

A thoughtful follow-up does three things: it reconnects to what the person shared, adds something useful, and makes the next step easy. That may be a resource, a new question, a relevant perspective, or two clear times to talk.

This approach is more than a communication tactic. It is leadership. You are showing that you listened, that you prepared, and that you respect the other person’s time.

Be persistent about the person, not just the pipeline.

Retirement is not only a question of how much you have saved. It is also a question of how and when you may need to use it.

A market downturn can feel very different before retirement than it does once withdrawals begin. When money is taken from a declining balance, there may be fewer dollars left to participate if the market recovers. That is one reason the sequence of returns deserves a place in retirement planning.

The point is not to predict the market. It is to understand the role each part of your plan is intended to play. What needs to be accessible soon? What income sources are supporting the plan? Which dollars may have more time? And how flexible are your expenses when life changes?

Practical takeaway: A retirement plan should not rely on one clock.

A teen’s first debit card can be convenient. It can also become their first real lesson about how money moves.

That is why the card should not be the whole plan. Before they can make confident choices with money, they need a few simple habits: connect effort to income, save before the next want, practice generosity, and understand why some money should have time to grow.

You do not need a complicated system to begin. Use everyday decisions: a purchase they want, money they earned, a goal they care about, or a gift they received. Ask the questions. Let them make a small decision. Help them reflect on the result.

Build confidence before convenience.

DM @vwmfinance “FAMILY” to start a family money conversation.
