WHAT’S ON: THE REST OF SEPTEMBER 🍺

September isn’t winding down quietly at East London Brewing Co.

We’re an independent East London brewery, and you can drink our beer right here at the source on the Blackhorse Beer Mile.

Fresh beer, open-fire food, neighbourhood events and live music so here’s your reason to make the trip to E17 before September is out.

SUNDAY 27TH — JO HILL & FRIENDS 🌾
One final garden gig to see out the summer. From 5pm, expect soul, indie & rock, live in the brewery garden AND completely free.

SATURDAY 26TH — LOCKWOOD WAY BLOCK PARTY
Our biggest event of the month, an end of summer block party! We’re joining our neighbours for a free neighbourhood street party from 12pm. Guest beers, Cask Ale Week, wine, street food, DJs, live music, bouncy castles, craft workshops, kids entertainment and £5 cask pints.

THURSDAY–SUNDAY FOOD BY PLAY WITH FIRE 🔥
Our open-fire kitchen is back every week: Thursday–Friday from 5pm and Saturday–Sunday from 12pm. Come for the beer, stay for something off the fire.

EVERY THURSDAY — THURSDAYS ON TAP
This one happens every week. £4 selected house pints, £5 frozen margs and a £15 Play With Fire meal deal.

Independent beer, brewed and poured in East London. Food over fire. Free music. A whole street party.

We’ve taken over the Jam & Donut stage at Appetite and somehow managed to sneak a little piece of our pub into a festival 👀

East beer pouring, tunes going off and plenty more happening all weekend.

Last week, I found out I am 2 yrs cancer free. 🙏💅

For many reasons, last week wasn’t the right time to celebrate. Or even celebrate at all. Frankly, who knows what to think. 🤷‍♀️
It’s a milestone that my surgeon and oncologist were signalling as the one to be celebrated, that you’re now (most likely) beyond the point of return. Here’s to medical advances.
I always had 2yrs in mind. One where I can allow myself to recalibrate my relationship with my own thoughts, thoughts on health, life, and perhaps unnecessarily, social media. I found socials at times a typically unhealthy landscape, and yet a necessary numbness from the obvious darkness. A work necessity. It felt difficult to contribute. While having a lot to say, and share. Not quite brave enough. 2yrs became a possible light, a reframing. So here I am. 👍

Whatever your journey in life, the truth is dealing with hardship and trauma becomes part of who you are. Recent tragic events really highlighted how precious a beautiful life can be. Life is short, be unapologetically true to yourself. Keep smiling. Get after it. We go again. Be inspired. Choose Everything. xx 😘

Was great to be open at the weekend!

And works still progressing…. Tony’s handiwork continues. He is very handy.

Look forward to meeting more locals. This week.. We’re back open Wednesday 4pm.. thru to Sunday. Obvs.

We’re Opening! (sort of)

As always, it’s been a fun old ride and after a few too many cans of worms and pushed back opening dates we have to just get on with it and get the doors open!

We still have a way to go to reach what we want the pub to be but until then what we’ve done will have to do. In the meantime, drop in and say hello - have a beer, stay for a burger (just mind the wet paint).
