a few days ago I discovered this song by @vandeluxmusic where he sampled his daughters heartbeat from her first ultrasound and turned it into this song, swimming in the dark. I’ve been waiting to share some from this set and it felt like the perfect choice for them 💘 can’t wait to meet their baby next week! Have I mentioned how cool my job is? 🥹

TWIN maternity, and make it boy mom ⚡️

watching your bestie grow TWO humans while raising another is one of those, we are women hear us roar - I’m so proud of her I could scream it from the rooftops type things. 🥹

the pitter patter of little feet down the hall
the way the bathroom floor is never dry after a bath
crumbs, everywhere
the sound of little laughs from the other room
the way the light hits the dining room at breakfast time

photos at home are meant to take you back to the time, not just the place and it’s one of the reasons I love these sessions so much! (Besides the AC of course.) by @findinglightphotography

from a mom and a photographer, here’s what you need to know mama 💛

Sometimes just a diaper is the way to go. They’ll never be this little again 💛

Suuuuch a proponent of this! The right time for your family to take photos is when the thought of having someone in your home handling your baby doesn’t stress you out and make you want to crawl into a hole.

HOLD THE BABY! For literally almost all his photos. Promise you won’t regret it

If he’s not sleeping when you expected him to be - that is okay. The beauty of lifestyle newborn photography is nothing has to be any one way, we are rolling with whatever baby deals us and that’s actually more conducive to a real and authentic session always - so don’t sweat it

I feel like parents favorite photos more often than not are ones where they’re awake! Capturing their little eyes and the wonder they hold is so special.

I mean, ya just do not skip the boots PLEASE don’t skip the boots

This is your families session, not just a newborn session. One day they will love seeing you in these photos so please, don’t be afraid to show up and get in front of the camera 💛 by @findinglightphotography

Nora’s first photo shoot 💘

that first baby newborn bubble is completely unparalleled and I cannot be convinced otherwise by @findinglightphotography

when “let’s take some photos when we’re in town” turns into this 🥲 (last slide!)

this family is such a great example of how so many of my wedding clients became life long friends. So honored to document all the things for all the people I love so much 🥲
