We finally made it to our 50th country together, and what better place to celebrate than Finland!

But instead of heading north to Lapland, we discovered a completely different side of Finland in summer, exploring the Jyväskylä region in the heart of Finnish Lakeland.

Think endless forests, beautiful lakes, long summer days, peaceful train journeys, incredible Finnish food, adventure in the treetops and, of course, plenty of sauna time.

We spent 5 days exploring Jyväskylä and honestly, Finland completely surprised us. The summer here is something else, with the white nights giving you so much more time to get outside and explore.

We’ve put together our full 5-day Finland itinerary, including everything we did, how to get around without a car, where we stayed, what we ate and all our tips for planning your own trip.

2026 was finally the year we made it to Sri Lanka!

There was always a reason why it didn’t quite work out for us before, but this year we couldn’t ignore it anymore, and we are so glad we didn’t!

We had the most incredible adventure exploring Sri Lanka, from the mountains and jungles to the beaches, wildlife and everything in between.

We’ve been to India four times over the past 20 years and our most recent visit was our first time to South India.

Hey everyone, we’re Hannah and Jonny, and it’s been a while since we properly introduced ourselves! 👋

We’ve been exploring the world together since 2011, and this year alone we’ve visited 8 different countries, including our 50th country, Finland! 🇫🇮

But this year has also brought our biggest adventure yet.

We found out in January that we were pregnant, and very soon we’ll be welcoming our little baby boy into the world. We honestly cannot wait to take him on so many adventures and introduce him to the incredible places we’ve been lucky enough to explore together.

Finding Our Adventure will always be about travel, and while we cannot wait for baby boy to arrive, travel will always be at the heart of what we do. We’re already looking forward to showing him the world and taking you along with us.

For now, we’re back home in Cornwall, enjoying the most incredible summer and catching up on writing all the travel guides from the adventures we’ve been on this year.

Pondicherry in southern India was one of our favourite places to explore during our recent visit to India with @indiasomeday

AD | We recently had a little escape to Yorkshire to stay in Ilkley at @maisonpierrehotels

We arrived to find a delicious zero alcohol drink in our room from the team to celebrate our pregnancy announcement a few weeks ago.

The hotel was very comfortable and the food was delicious. It was our first time in Ilkley which is a beautiful little town with many beautiful shops, cafes and restaurants.

We recently visited our 50th country 🌍

We can’t wait to share where it was with you soon!

The next 50 countries will look a little different, because they’ll be as a family of three.

We’re sure travel will be slower, a little less spontaneous, and full of new adventures, but honestly, we’ve found ourselves enjoying slower travel more and more over the last few years anyway.

We’re so excited for this next chapter and all the adventures still to come.

We’ve been keeping a secret and it’s time to be honest with you.

The last 6 months have been pretty hectic but in a good way. We’ve been lucky enough to explore Austria, Switzerland, India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and France, with Finland as our 50th country 🎉

We’ve been a little quieter on here lately because life is about to change in the biggest way.

Baby boy due in September 😍 These photos have been taken in several different countries over the past few months and it’s impossible to hide the bump now 😂

When baby boy arrives we can’t wait to take him on our adventures, however content with our baby in will be kept to an absolute minimum to protect his identity and privacy.

Travel will always be at the heart of what we do, and that isn’t changing. There’s still so much from this year’s adventures to share over the coming months.

After that, we’ll be taking some time away as we settle into life as new parents, before planning what’s next.

Our stay at Mont Eco Private Game Reserve gave us the chance to experience an unforgettable Big 5 safari, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and luxury accommodation. From early morning game drives to golden sunsets overlooking the bush, we saw Lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo and even paw tracks for a leopard, so we are counting that as seeing the big 5 😜.

If you’re looking to add a safari to your Cape Town itinerary without travelling all the way to Kruger, this is an experience we can’t recommend enough. Located roughly 3 hours from central Cape Town, Mont Eco is a luxury big 5 reserve that gives you an opportunity to see large animals roaming in the African bush.

Discovering the perfect island escape on France’s west coast! 🇫🇷

The Isle of Noirmoutier took us by surprise with its laid back charm, beautiful beaches and magical sunsets.

It’s definitely a destination we think you’ll love. Noirmoutier is often overlooked by international visitors and has a local charm that feels like the perfect mix of traditional French character and relaxed Mediterranean island vibes.
