Our Lady girl turns 10 the same month our little boy turns 1.
I love how she cares for him, protects him, and the patience she extends to no one more than him. 👦🏻🐶🤍
The reality that I try never to dwell on for anymore than a moment because my heart can’t take it, is our years with her are numbered. She won’t be the dog he remembers growing up with, but she will be there for all his big “firsts.” These cherished memories will forever hold a special imprint on my heart.

6 Months, half of a year!
Where has the time gone? 🥹
This month is by far my favorite so far, your are sitting up, full of new independence and spunk, wicked smart and full of focus-watching your little brain fire is mesmerizing, belly laughs on repeat, laying your sweet head on our shoulder when you are tired or just want extra cuddles, starting solids and all about the REAL food-milk has always been a bit too boring for you 🤪.
Your daddy and I are finally getting our parenting sea legs, and the amount of joy you bring us daily is enough to fill the ocean.
You are our beautiful, wild, joyful little man and we could not be more humbled to be your parents.
No matter how old you get, you will always be mama’s darling boy 🤍

How has it been 7 days since we welcomed him earth-side? An unexpected, incredibly difficult delivery kept us at the hospital and has meant a very difficult recovery for me, but we are home now and that story is for another time.

Today, on this Easter Sunday we are celebrating miracles and the arrival of Everett Edward Dickson born 4/10/2022 @ 12:03pm weighing 8lbs 3oz/21in long.
He’s the most beautiful baby we’ve ever seen (of course we are a bit bias 🥹), came out alert and full of personality and we are completely smitten. 👦🏻🤍 taken in Durham, North Carolina by @findingourjoy

Lake Day 🌊 ☀️

We had the best Christmas party with some of our very favorite people! Games, lights, holiday treats and the warmth of the season filled our home this weekend and we loved every minute 🎄✨♥️
