There is nothing “lucky” about missing the thing you love.

But here’s what this has taught me.

This injury has completely shifted my perspective.

The practices I used to complain about?
The early mornings?
The conditioning days?
They were privileges.

Nothing is guaranteed. Not seasons. Not health. Not another snap. Not another rep.

One day you’re in the grind.
The next day you’re praying just to jog again.

So if you’re healthy — run.
If you’re cleared — compete.
If you get to practice — show up grateful.

Because the things we take for granted are often the things we’d give anything to get back.

This journey has been humbling. It’s been hard. It’s been stretching me mentally and physically.

But it’s also made me more grateful than I’ve ever been.

And when I step back on that field, I won’t just be playing.

I’ll be thankful.

And I would still choose practice.
Every. Single. Time.
