“Wait till you have kids that behave just like you.”

But I did.

I had kids who are just like me.

And in watching them grow, I realized something beautiful:
I was never as difficult to love as I once believed.

I saw my own heart in theirs — their sensitivity, their curiosity, their big feelings, their determination, their joy.

And I realized how easy it is to love me.
How easy it is to be patient.
How easy it is to be kind.
To listen. To encourage. To make someone feel safe, seen, and valued.

Maybe the greatest gift my children gave me
