For the duration of @studiothirteen_dxb being at BLANK SPACE I challenged myself with developing an area of my craft that is often neglected- portraiture. Both my abstract and street art avenues draw inspiration from people, with the work containing faces and figures. With my thinking being that building something up to break it down to its simplest forms, I set about drawing and painting portraits. To help with this, I started with one of my other passions- photography. Shooting portraits of the people in @alserkalavenue before using the results to create drawings, and then paintings. Enjoy the selection of portraits, with a number shot during the @fujifilmme collaboration on the last weekend. If I’ve not sent you your photo, just DM and I’ll ping it over! by @fink.22

A look back at Memories, our photo meet with @studiothirteen_dxb and @fujifilmmeAn afternoon spent making photographs, exploring the Studio Thirteen space, reconnecting with familiar faces, and meeting new ones along the way. From portraits of friends and family to documenting the works on view, attendees filled the space with curiosity, conversation, and image, making.As the sun set, selected photographs from the photo walk were projected throughout the evening alongside vinyl sets from @mckie.alvarez, @martinongyambao, and @catnipkilledthecat, bringing together photography, music, and community under one roof.Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening what it was! So we didn’t change much… just the colour of the frame, wheels, gears, chain, crank, handlebars, hand grips, brake cables, seat and tyres! Hats off to @retrobikesdubai the mad genius, pulling it all together to create an absolute beaut of a bike! For once, I went slightly subtle with the design, with faces rising out of the dark green to the light. Opting to let the rest of the paint job do the talking with the popping pink wheel and brake cables, set against the green frame and brown seat and grips. Chefs kiss! Turning old into gold with @retrobikesdubai X @fink.22Life started in the 1980s for this bike, as a Panasonic racer. Rescued by Retro bikes, we gave it a make over. Stripping away the tired and chipped paint job, and gave it a Fink upgrade. Introducing the FINKASONIC!📸 @martinongyambao by @fink.22
