This is my best friend Violet Eve Goldstein.
It feels impossible to try and capture or completely represent who Violet was. I met Violet around spring of 2023 when we found out we were assigned as each other’s roommates at RISD pre-college. I want to highlight how much of a beautiful source of light Violet was within every environment she entered. She radiated kindness and genuine care to every person she met. She was able to soak in all of the beauty of the present through the smallest of things in her daily life and found fulfillment and happiness through them. I believe it’s extremely important to recognize her immense talent in loving others, as well as her unfathomable talent for creating. Her dedication and the copious amount of care that she gave to her artwork was unmatched and will forever amaze me. She was my favorite person to hug, to dance and sing with, to make laugh, and to simply love and live with.
There are countless amounts of people who have been impacted by her, Valerie, Matt, and Lila. I was embraced by her family immediately, as Violet’s roommate and friend. I will forever be grateful for that.
We were just entering our second semester of our freshman year together as roommates and even more so, genuinely the dearest of friends. I’m devastated that she had so many more incredible ideas and works to share with the world. Violet and her entire family were such beautiful people, and I’m eternally thankful to have gotten to know them. Sending so much love to the others that had the privilege of adoring these incredible people. by @finleighmeadow
