While this NEYC season wasn’t like my past few, I still found ways to make it fun. The Senior Series Hawks even caught the overall win while the team as whole placed 3rd. This season really drilled home for me that racing isn’t just about winning, as long as you had fun you did it right. “Only one person can win, but everyone can have fun” #forevernehsca #mtb @hillsborough_hawks taken in New England by @finn_klicker

Bear Brook still lives up to the hype after another year of racing it. Although I had pain in my gut nearly the entire race, I still managed to secure second place in a sprint. This is definitely one of the best races I do all year, and I’m happy for it to have turned out the way it did. #mtb #racing @state9racing 📸 - Joe Catale taken in Bear Brook State Park by @finn_klicker

The 2023 National Championship is officially done. After just squeezing by qualifying for XC, I was able to fight up to 76th during the final race. I’m definitely happy with this result, especially considering I staged 108th in my field. As for short track, I didn’t qualify. While it is unfortunate I didn’t make it. I’m totally fine with it considering my only big goal going into this past week was to qualify for XC. Thanks to everyone who helped make this week possible, now onto the second half of the season. #mtbnats taken in Bear Creek Mountain Resort by @finn_klicker

While my last NEYC race of the season wasn’t my best, I still had fun. I just wasn’t able to keep the pace through the technical stuff on the added section (And somehow forgot that standing up makes you go faster). While I didn’t crack top five overall this year (6th), I’m still proud of the effort I put out and am now focusing on training up to nationals. @newenglandyouthcycling taken in Wompatuck State Park by @finn_klicker

Feeling very good after a strong race five in Stratham. I was able to stick with the lead group for much longer, and although I didn’t crack into the real podium (Thanks mystery man), I’m still happy overall with my result. @newenglandyouthcycling taken in Stratham Hill Park by @finn_klicker

Finished last weekend in 7th. I was fortunate enough to get a replacement break that morning so I could race with a dropper post. Treasure Valley has never been a course I’ve raced well, with single track that has no flow and a hot power line climb at the finish. I’m still happy with my result, holding 6th overall in the series. Heading into a few weekends off with some rest and long training rides. @newenglandyouthcycling taken in Treasure Valley Scout Reservation by @finn_klicker

Moving further up after a 4th place finish this weekend. Had a unexpected issue with my front brake the night before causing me to switch out my brake and making my dropper lever unusable. While 4th doesn’t really feel like an actual podium finish, I’m still stoked on it. @newenglandyouthcycling by @finn_klicker
