ALL THE (…) SMALL THINGS !!

True care, truth brings, and that’s the truth — small accents and details bring so much value to any piece of work, especially clothing.

I always get so excited every time I find a hidden print, a handy feature, or a small graphic that adds just that much more to the whole piece.

In addition to making a sticker and tee for the Farang comeback, I also got to design these woven labels on the Farang belts. @thejasonpaul originally asked for one, but I said “How about three?” — a label and pose for each of the colorways! And that was that.

The poses took some noodling to get right. I took inspo from Noah Heath (with Fisheye distortion form “Shorties”), Max Cave (the dude just looks cool running) and Wave Zilla (with that epic rapid ascent/dyno). I wanted each pose to feel dynamic and full of motion, (no backflip poses!) also taking into account the square-ish space to fill.

Huge thank you to everyone that has dropped a note of support or checked out the shirt – I’m beyond stoked to have this out in the world !!

So cool that not only did my Persistence piece getting printed as a sticker, but this bad boy now lives on a kick-ass Farang T shirt!!! Available in white, grey or black – whichever floats your boat.

Slowly figuring out how I want to share the things I’m proud of without succumbing to a doom-scroll attention economy agenda. If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears.

In the meantime, here’s a fun experiment from my daily carry. I was going for a big ol 12 but it came out more like two Zs. Oh well! Still fun :) by @finncreate

This is: Unbreakable Hope and Resilience 💛

A live-recorded, documentary-style, big band jazz album conducted and composed by Migiwa “Miggy” Miyajima aka @miggymigwa about moving through life after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and nuclear disaster.

Miggy mixed the stories & lessons of friends, family, inspiring volunteers, and survivors with a jazz music performance to tell a tale of moving through tragedy and holding on to hope.

I was lucky enough to work with Miggy after meeting her through CreativeMornings just over a year ago !! I got to collaborate with her on the album cover, three singles, and a CD case for this project.

Miggy thank you so much for working with me and helping me grow as a designer and collaborator. It is such a joy to see this work released to the world! You are an incredible artist & storyteller, and getting to work with you and see how you bring positivity into the world has made me a more hopeful creative :)

This is my buddy Jimmy Li and his comic NIGHTHAWKS just got 100 percent funded !!!

It's happening, baby!! Over the past three years I got to see this lovely human go from early sketches to final product to published by @goatsflyingpress – What a journey! Hell yeah Jimmy.

My friend and art hero Jimmy Li is publishing his debut graphic novel NIGHTHAWKS ‼️

That’s right - not a strip, or a short story, A WHOLE DAMN GRAPHIC NOVEL. You can measure it’s thickness in inches. UNREAL!!

Every time I look at these pages and read even a snippet of this story I can’t help but beam. Getting to see this go from sketches, to final drawings, to a webtoon and now a real printed masterpiece makes me so damn happy. The amount of hours, care, thought, and iced coffees this man has put into this work is insane. Believe me when I tell you that this will blow your mind!!

Jimmy, I’m so unbelievably proud of you. You inspire me to no end!!
