Because choosing what to eat is rarely as simple as being hungry.

The real question is: What if something else is better? 😅

We take photos of our coffee when it arrives.

When it’s still beautiful and untouched, before anyone has had a sip.

But honestly, I think what’s left behind tells you more.

There’s something really nice about seeing an empty coffee cup. You know someone sat there, drank the whole thing and presumably enjoyed it enough to finish it.

It’s not the prettiest photo, but I think there’s something beautiful about it.

The untouched coffee makes a prettier photo.

But the empty cup tells a better story.

Pick your fave Matcha Latte. No overthinking.

Which one are you choosing?

Apparently, I slurp too loudly 🍜

The thing about habits is that you don't always notice them, but other people do.

Now I can't eat soupy noodles the same way again.

Hello, I’m Fiona 👋

I’ve been writing for years, mostly to myself, and finally decided it was time to let other people read it.

I write about the curious ways we eat, behave and think. All the little things that get me overthinking. And somehow, there’s usually food involved. 🍜

I’m also committing to one new story every fortnight for the next year, whether that’s read by 2 people or 200 (currently at 3, so we're off to a strong start)! 😅

So, here goes. Pull up a chair and join me at my table☕👇

When your friends can cook like this, you have absolutely no shame asking to be invited back 😂

A little throwback to when Oncore was still gracing Sydney’s dining scene.

Two years later and apparently I’m still not over this meal.

Gone, but very much not forgotten. 🥂

One of my fave day-to-night dining experience in Tokyo. Highly recommend the jazz bar after to relive the 'Lost in Translation' experience.
