I first had a stand at Swanage Folk Festival in 2020…so thought I’d see if I still had images from previous years….sadly not many. The first one here was 2017, notice the Creative Gallery flyer…… the others when my stand was next to Cathy Veale, fantastic land/seascape artist, in 2021 (with hand sanitiser) and 2022……looking forward to setting up this year on Friday….and trading 12th & 13th…….a busy week ahead! @fionakellypots @swanagefolkfestival #swanage #folkfestival #craftmarquee #nostalgia taken in Sandpit Field by @fionakellypots

It’s full steam ahead now to Swanage Folk Festival….my final show of the summer. The craft marquee is open on 12&13 September throughout the day….there’s music, dancing, the parade, food and stalls selling crafts, clothes and curiosities in Sandpit Field beside the main events tent. It’s a really friendly, local event with much to enjoy for free….you can come by bus, car or Swanage Railway….so hope you’ll make the trip and have a great day out.

Now I’m back from Chichester’s @southernceramicsgroup summer exhibition it’s time to get ready for Swanage Folk Festival, 11-13 September. Just five days remain of the @southernceramicsgroup summer show in the fascinating Great Kitchen, part of the historic Bishops’ Palace of Chichester Cathedral.
A splendid array of ceramic styles are on show…..sculptural, functional and decorative……stoneware, earthenware, porcelain and raku…….smoke fired, pit fired, reduction and oxidation fired pots. Admission is free, and there are potters stewarding so you can ask for more information about the work on display. One large and three small bowls out of the kiln today. Adding the copper oxide to the upper area of the relief fish seems to emphasise the detail….which do you prefer? I sold the first ever in Cardiff on its first outing, so think it’s a good addition …. Please let me know. You could see them at the @the_little_craft_shack area in Lymington on Sunday 2nd August in Woodside Park. A free event, 11-5, with loads to enjoy.
