Year 1 tech class work- Interior Futures: New Ideas for Living

Sanctum of Soil & Stories
reimagines ‘new ideas for living’ through the design of a hybrid residential–public interior designed specifically for Vivienne Westwood, who is a fashion icon, activist, and avid gardener. Inspired by Westwood’s love of gardening, literature and environmental activism, as well as her rebellious design attitude, the proposal transforms an empty warehouse shell into a multifunctional Indoor Garden House. Acting simultaneously as her private residence and as an indoor garden and small library open to the public.

Lumine proposes a futuristic retail space dedicated to helping individuals find meaningful relationships through advanced technology, emotional intelligence, and personal interaction in 2034.

The store offers a data-driven matchmaking experience that blends digital and human interactions to help visitors meet compatible partners.

In 2034, as technology becomes further embedded in our life and in an increasingly digital world, people will seek more personalized and meaningful ways to connect beyond the screen. Dating apps have faced challenges of superficiality and mistrust; Lumine will offer a more profound, in-person experience that integrates the convenience of data-driven matchmaking with human interaction. Additionally, by combining technology with psychology and real-world engagement, Lumine is well-positioned to address the future needs of individuals who value authentic relationships over superficial connections. The integration of VR/AR technology and physiological tracking (through smart bracelets) offers innovative ways to connect with potential partners at Lumine, staying relevant as society continues to embrace advanced technologies for personal growth and connection.
