Today isn’t just about a graduation. It’s about resilience, growth, and becoming the man you were always capable of being.

Nephew ( AKA The Hurrikane ) I am unbelievably proud of you. Watching everything you’ve overcome and seeing the outstanding young man you’ve become has been one of the greatest joys. You didn’t just get through university—you went and came out with a 2:1. Big boy grades. That’s a reflection of your hard work, discipline and determination.

Your Nana is smiling down on you today. I know she’d be bursting with pride, watching your accomplishments and the man you’re becoming. I can just imagine that smile.

Keep shining. Stay humble. Keep believing in yourself, because this is only the beginning. There are even bigger things ahead of you.

And remember this… no matter where life takes you, I’ve always got your back. Through every win and every challenge, you never have to face it alone.

This was the best Father’s Day gift ever ! To get JT committed to his new home under a 10/10 Coach has been the objective from the start.

JT’s journey has taken us far and wide and to now finally have him settled is a blessing.

Son I’m ever so proud of you. Proud of the work, proud of the commitment, proud of the young man you’re becoming. Watching you chase your path, stand on your own two feet and earn your opportunities means more to me than words can explain. You’ll always be my boy, and I’ll always be your dad — solid, present, and in your corner for life. Keep building. Keep believing. Keep going. This is only the start Champ 🫵🏾

And to my daughter Imani , I miss you more than I can put into words. Life may have put distance between us, and we may have been estranged for some time, but one thing that will never change is this — I am your dad and I always will be. Not sometimes. Not when it’s easy. Always. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t carry you in my heart. No matter what’s happened, or where life has taken us, it’s nothing but love from me. Always has been. Always will be 💕

Day 3 - Truth Season Ki💯

One thing I’m learning on this healing journey is this……

The moment you start speaking truth, people start getting uncomfortable.

No lies told.

Not disrespect.

Truth.

And truth has a funny way of exposing people’s character, loyalty and moral fibre without evening needing to day much at all.

Over the last few days I’ve seen certain people distance themselves, block me and speak on my name behind close doors simply because I chose to speak honestly about my lived experience and feelings surrounding Grenfell, the secret commendation process and the wider culture connected to it all.

Let me make something very clear though……

This is not bitterness
This is not hate.
And this is definitely not a a cry for attention.

This is healing.
This is reflection.
This is a man refusing to remain silent about things that never agreed with my spirit.

I know who I am.
I know where I came from.
I know the connection to my community , culture and the people I stood during the darkest night of my life.

Most importantly…… I know my truth.

Im not out here to go back and forth with Firefighters, individuals or low level distractions. My focus is bigger than that. My fight is about culture, accountability, leadership, truth , systemic issues that go far beyond personalities.

I genuinely wish healing for everybody still carrying trauma and pain from Grenfell and everything that came after it. PTSD is real. Survival guilt is real, SILENCE is REAL !

But what I will no longer do is shrink my light, remain silent or water down my truth to make other people feel comfortable with their lack of integrity , code or honour.

This Train 🚂 has left the station now.

& the truth?

The truth will set you free ✊🏾

This one wasn’t easy.
But it was necessary.

For years I stayed silent about a lot of things…
The trauma.
The pressure.
The PTSD.
The battles behind closed doors.
Trying to stay strong for my children whilst slowly falling apart internally.

But silence can become a prison.

This conversation was not about attention.
It was about truth.
Healing.
Fatherhood.
Mental health.
Pain.
Purpose.
And survival.

In this episode I speak openly about my journey as a firefighter, a father and a man trying to rebuild himself after everything life has thrown at him. No script. No performance. Just honesty.

Too many men are suffering quietly.
Too many fathers are carrying pain in silence.
Too many people are smiling publicly whilst battling privately.

If this conversation helps even ONE person feel seen, understood or inspired to keep going… then it was worth it.

Big respect and gratitude to my brother Mabs and The Father & Son Project for creating a safe platform for real conversations and real healing. Salute every time 🤝🏾💯

This is only the beginning.

The truth shall set you free.
