EDIT💛 Thank you for all your lovely comments! X Thank you so much to the @the_rhs and @saatchi_gallery for a wonderful evening at the Botanical Art & Photography Show, exhibiting for the first time, with my portfolio of 6 images, titled The Perpetual Garden. Not only was I thrilled to receive a gold award but then I also received the Judges Special Award for Photography which was truly amazing.
It was also so lovely to see the work of people whose work I so much admire and so congratulations to them and their awards! The show is open until 2nd August! #rhs #saatchi #photography #goldaward taken in Saatchi Gallery London by @firebrand2015

A revisit to this fantastic piece of architecture, which has been restored to perfection to become flats. Former motor garage. The central part of the workshop probably dates from 1919 extended in 1930 to the north by the firm of Boulton and Paul. The south frontage was added circa 1934 in Moderne style, the architect not at present known. The four forecourt petrol pumps are of late 1940s or early 1950s date. #petrolstation #artdeco #architecture #typography #1930 taken in East Preston, Sussex by @firebrand2015

A lovely solo trip to The Newt…Part 1 - I arrived in the mist and as the morning progressed the sun came through. It’s such a vast area, that I decided to do just a part of it. To enjoy looking at the detail, the structures and the surfaces…hopefully I’ll be back at some point #garden #wood #stone #metal #brick taken in The Newt in Somerset by @firebrand2015

Loved Korean artist, Lee Bae exhibition ‘En attendant’ at the atmospheric Abbaye de Beaulieu-en-Rouergue. Using large-scale sculptural arrangements of charred tree trunks. He revitalises the legacy of Korean painting by developing an abstract language rich in energy and depth. Charcoal embodies the notion of breadth, circulation and transportation, conveys in his work the dualities of life and death, presence and absense, light and shadow, form and void….now where is my tiny piece of charcoal, let’s make some art! #leebae #koreanartist #charcoal #sculpture #blackandwhite taken in Abbaye de Beaulieu-en-Rouergue by @firebrand2015

What do they say when you can’t sleep, not to look at your phone. That doesn’t mean start taking photos of shadows at 2:30 in the morning…just switch off and go to sleep. Let’s hope tonight I’ll sleep! #cantsleep #shadows #blackandwhite #creative #2am by @firebrand2015
