Arcade Fire’s *Funeral* at the time, I found them very compelling and exciting, the way they interpreted and crafted their music; they were something special. #nowplaying #vintagehifistereo #arcadefire #musictip #cdaddict by @fireburnsinsideme
The long-awaited, brand-new full-length album from Alex Henry Foster and The Long Shadows has finally arrived. Wow—what a sonic *GötterdĂ€mmerung* (twilight of the gods) pours forth from the speakers! It is a near-perfect modern production that brings any decent hi-fi setup to life and is guaranteed to give you goosebumps. Every song is excellent, and they are all perfectly sequenced. *Fragile of Beauty* is an album meant to be experienced as a whole; only then do the full energy and depth of the tracks truly unfold. Thanks to this structure, you are drawn deep into the album right from the opening track—all you have to do is sit back and enjoy what Alex Henry Foster and his brilliant band have created. These are truly exceptional musicians and multi-instrumentalists at work. I find it magnificent how the new drummer is given the space to unleash his cathedral-like, thunderous percussion. The entire band is in top creative form, providing the perfect stage for Alex Henry Foster—whose unique songs, lyrics, and vocal performances are so compelling that they touch the soul and leave a lasting impression—as does the first-rate vocal contribution from the delightful Miss Isabell. Anyone who has had the chance to see this impressive collective of musicians live will understand exactly what I mean. I am glad that Alex Henry Foster gives his songs the space and duration they need to unfold with maximum impact. I am already curious to see how these tracks will continue to evolve in a live setting, even though they sound absolutely perfect as they are, pouring from the speakers. When artists you truly admire and love release new albums—especially ones as creative as this—a touch of apprehension often accompanies the excitement: what might this turn out to be? Well, what can I say? This album is so good, and it just keeps getting better; it grows with every single listen. It is a pure joy to take it all in—to let the lovingly crafted sonic details wash over you, from the ethereal guitar textures and expressive drums to the free-jazz-inflected saxophone nuances and the rich, varied instrumentation. Everything has found its perfect place in the mix. #newmusic #newalbum by @fireburnsinsideme
Finally posted about it today: the new album from Emma Ruth Rundle, *These Killing Times*. If you appreciate and love this artist, you don’t need to think twice when she releases new music—you know she’s something truly special, which is clearly reflected in her work. *These Killing Times* hits the mark perfectly for these dark days; yet, she manages to cast rays of light through a vocal performance filled with warmth, emotion, and even flashes of anger. Above all, she radiates a kind of strength that truly touches you. Let the dark season come—this record is the perfect medicine to help heal the wounds inflicted by the crazy times we’re living in. #recordroomstuff #onmyturntable #nowspinningonvinyl #nowplayingonvinyl #greatalbum by @fireburnsinsideme

I owned this very album back in my early youth and was absolutely thrilled by that voice and the fantastic band; now I have the album again, and what can I say it still thrills me just as much as it did half a lifetime ago. #recordroomstuff #onmyturntable #nowspinningonvinyl #frumpyband #vinyloftheday by @fireburnsinsideme

Finally, time to post about a record again. I’m so glad I managed to get my hands on this Record Store Day album by Dusk Saffron; the event was a while ago and the EP is actually sold out, but I managed to track down a copy at LpCafe in Vienna—I was absolutely thrilled. Why? Because Dusk Saffron has conjured up some top-notch songs here that instantly hooked me. I can relax wonderfully while listening to this music—which is hugely important in these fucking times, being able to drift away—and this is my current soundtrack for doing just that. What else is there to say? I’m really excited and looking forward to the upcoming album, which I hope will be released later this year. #dusksaffronband #onmyturntable #recordroomstuff #nowplayingonvinyl #recordoftheday by @fireburnsinsideme
Dusk Saffron, Tasteful, top-notch shoegaze sound from Berlin—that’s all I need right now to really unwind #dusksaffronband #greatsong #vintagehifistereo #shoegazeband #shoegaze by @fireburnsinsideme
Dusk Saffron, Great newcomers from Berlin. I fell in love with this sound immediately; I hear influences from early Wild Nothing, DIIV, etc. I’m especially happy about this because those bands have long since moved on stylistically, yet that wonderful sound from that era can be found again here with Dusk Saffron—and it’s executed excellently.
