7 Days Fishing Alaska!! 🏔️🐟

August 2th-7th I had the amazing opportunity w/ @gotfishing to whitewater raft, fly fishing and explore 104-mile of free-flowing water in central Idaho through the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and it was life changing! 💓 This 7-day float has been on my list of places I’ve wanted to explore for a while now and being about to check it off my list felt good. Still so much more to explore I feel like I just got a taste of what the Middle fork has to offer.

Day one was epic, we went with the last outfitter still putting in from the VERY TOP so got to experience top to the bottom. The whitewater was amazing it was my first time ever ‘actually whitewater rafting’ and there was a point on the first day I literally said I’m going to convert my channel to a whitewater rafting channel… it was that much fun!! 🤩🛶 Super technical water we just enjoyed the float and busted out our rods later in the trip!! The dry fly fishing was lights out… couldn’t shake off the cutthroat. 😅

Throughout the trip I met some many new friends for life, that I’ve already got plans on seeing again. The Native American history was probably my favorite part, Numerous pictographs and petroglyphs left by indigenous artists remain on canyon walls. Just made me want to return in a future year with my own boat just to float and explore to find more artifacts!

We saw multiple secret waterfalls, DOPE private hot springs and coyote camped the entire trip just to watch the stars pop out!! Got to explore tributaries off the main river in search for some bulls but found really nice untouched cutthroat waters along the way.

This year has been more than I couldn’t dreamt and I don’t take it for granted. I felt and feel so blessed to be able to explore places I never thought I’d be able to make it to because of fly fishing! 🎣 Thank you @gotfishing for the lifelong memories and relationships I’ve been able to create.
