It’s giving Josh from Lights Out.
That “would-kill-for-you” but also “brings-you-tea-with-honey” energy is the only thing we’re accepting these days, ladies. Our standards are book boyfriend level and we’re not going back.

QOTD:
Do men like this actually exist IRL?

Unfortunately I do love…

• Walking barefoot everywhere
• Keeping a straight face while reading or listening to absolutely scandalous things
• Men who are hard to crack
• Fighting for the underdog
• Being a passenger princess
• Overanalyzing everything
• Hyper-focusing on something trivial until 4 a.m.
• Singing karaoke like it’s a sold-out stadium
• Reading mindless books between the epic ones
• Acting like I’m paid to crack the case in every mystery/thriller
• Declaring every craft project “the one” before I’ve even finished the last twenty
• Talking to my dogs like they’re my board of directors
• Spending hours on a reel only five people will see
• Taking basic stories like they’re epic sagas
• Getting upset about “spoilers” when all they told me was the tropes

QOTD: what’s one thing you “unfortunately love”?

Such an honor to be on this dream team. I highly recommend that you check out my full review on GR, but to wrap it up, this series is a “must read”.

Yes. I know I said I was going to switch to Storygraph and I definitely am in 2026 because I looked at their wrap up stats and they are so much better than this. I might just upload my info and go ahead and do a storygraph one too. 😜

I definitely had some good reads this year! I might do a speed review on some of them since I’ve been MIA on my reviews as of late. The great thing about reading is that it doesn’t matter how busy you get, as long as your ears aren’t tied up, you can always listen.

More to come on my year tomorrow when I’m going to talk about my outlook on 2026.

December was an eventful month with lots of reading and remodeling. Here is everything I read in December 2025:

Brimstone by Callie Hart
Zodiac Academy: Shadow Princess by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti
The Bonds that Tie Series books 1-6 by J. Bree
Hell Bent Series books 1-4 by Aurora Ascher
Dream Harbor Series books 3-5 by Laurie Gilmore

What was your favorite read in December. Mine was Brimstone.

I’m too tired to write a caption. by @fireheart.creative

Does anyone else have this problem. What techniques do you use to stop thinking about your books long enough to get other stuff done?

You know those CW shows like Teen Wolf where they make the shifter’s bones crack and twist as they transform into a werewolf?

Maybe I read too much, but when I saw this video, my brain definitely did not jump to: ‘oh, he’s just aggressively stretching his back and popping his fascia… you know, like a normal human.”

Anywho… here’s some shifter books for you to check out if you’re looking for this vibe.

The Hunted Omegas series by April L. Moon — a why‑choose paranormal wolf shifter romance

The Wolf King series by Lauren Palphreyman — a dark fantasy romance with dangerous werewolves and forbidden attraction

The Wolves of Crescent Creek series by Tessa Hale — a suspenseful wolf shifter series full of pack politics, danger, and romance

QOTD: do you read shifter books? If so what’s your favorite kind? If not, what’s your go to genre? by @fireheart.creative
