STREAM & PREORDER VINYL TODAY! Two incredible #punk bands have delivered two amazing new songs each in the @firesaleisaband / @thecorps2814 “Split Decision” 7”. All 4 brand new tunes are streaming everywhere right now so listen up! In addition, we have a worldwide preorder live today through our friends at @thousandislandsrecords (Canada), @beardedpunkrec (Europe), @devildogdistro (UK), @peerecords (AUS/ASIA). The #vinyl is still at the plant, but this will be in your hands in a few weeks. The hand-painted artwork by @markdesalvo rules as usual. Since normally a “Split Decision” in boxing ends up with one of the fighters actually winning, we thought it would be hilarious if both boxers lost. Can’t get much more punk than that. In addition, two individual and amazing t-shirts, inspired by the song lyrics and music, were designed by the uber talented @xsamuellucasx ! The Fire Sale songs were recorded by the band and The Corps songs were recorded/produced by Theo Goutzinakis @theogob (of @gobband fame). All 4 of these new bangers were mixed by Bill Stevenson of @descendents at @theblastingroom and all were mastered by the mad scientist of Colorado aka @jasonlivermore . Fire Sale has been burning up the scene over the past few years with a few 7”’s of their own and last year’s “Split Personality” 7” with Pulley. Likewise, The Corps have been burning some rubber on tour across Canada ( with @igniteband ) and Europe ( with @strungout ). If you aren’t familiar with The Corps down in the USA, check out their prior releases as well because they are killer. Both bands will be playing shows worldwide in 2027 so keep your ears peeled. While you’re waiting, listen to these new songs on streaming services, SAVE the songs because that helps us with the algorithm, and preorder the t-shirt/vinyl bundles! I prepared questions. The interview cheerfully ignored them and went off the rails in the best possible way which is, frankly, very on-brand for me. Split Decision brings Fire Sale and The Corps together for four songs of fast melodic punk, anxious brains, political noise, imposter syndrome and impossible love.
