We’re off to @krankenhausfestival this weekend (playing on Sunday at 19:45), so it seemed like a great time to say: we’ve now finalised the INTERNATIONAL DUST TOUR. In October and November (mainly November) we might be coming to a town/city near you! All the ticket links are in our bio. Here are the details:

Thanks to anyone who has had a listen to our new song An Apparition and/or a watch of the video. Much love.

We had a lot of fun making the vid with @samwisternoff and I thought it might be nice to post a couple of behind the scenes snaps and some choice stills. So I’ve done that, and here they are, plus my favourite part of the video where we walk on the Matterhorn (was quite dangerous filming that bit, I can tell you).

Big news! Our new album International Dust is out this October on @lostmaprecords , and the pre-order is now live. Written together across 2024, it brings together many of our different flavours — shoegaze, art-pop, alt-country, and some more hypnotic bits — and we’re really proud of it. We hope you like it.

We recorded the album over New Year 2025 at @otterheadstudios with @ellis_powellbevan. The real heads will remember that we got stranded during the biblical flooding TM of the River Avon during recording and watched the water rise around us from the studio door. A lot of the bigger production came from that slightly surreal situation… because, well, we were stuck. “Piano overdubs anyone?” “Jazz flute?” “Bit of viola?” Sure why not? As we write this, we’re in the middle of a record-breaking heatwave… so yeah…international dust.

But it’s not just the climate we have to “thank” for the album’s beefy production — it’s also the brilliant @jamestrevascus, who mixed and mastered the record. Thanks, James you’re great. It was both exciting and a little strange to hand over the stems to someone else after years of doing everything ourselves DIY, but we loved the process and love how the record has been shaped.

Oxford! We host London art-pop band Firestations next month hot on the heels of their new record ‘International Dust’ which came out yesterday on Lost Map Records @lostmaprecords - they play the Library with Bristol-based kaleidoscopic doo-wop act Patsy Delve and Oxford’s jangle alt-rockers Nothing Dreams on Weds 4th Nov!

This tour marks a return to Firestations’ full five-piece band format after a journey into more stripped back alt-folk territory on last year’s ‘Many White Horses’. The nine tracks on the new album encompass an eclectic and intuitive mix of art-pop, alt-country and hypnotic cyclical numbers, shaped collectively by the band as a unit through various twists and turns at rehearsal sessions during 2024.

Excited to see Firestations for the first time, encompassing an eclectic and intuitive mix of dream-pop, alt-country and hypnotic cyclical numbers that were shaped collectively by the whole band through their various twists and turns through rehearsals for this sparkling new record.

Patsy Delve bring their tender pop, haunted tape manipulation, frazzled microphone hiss and reverb soaked androgynous vocals to Oxford for the first time, combining all this into one package perfect for late night bars and streets lit by flickering streetlights.

Nothing Dreams are back on the stage with their catchy, ramshackle Pastels-eque jangle-rock!

Happy release weekend to @firestationsband! Their fifth album INTERNATIONAL DUST is out now on limited-edition vinyl, CD and all the streaming places. 💛

Back in full five-piece formation, the band weave together shimmering dream-pop, alt-country and harmony-filled psychedelia. These nine songs grew out of time spent playing together in their rehearsal room - stretching out outros, following ideas and getting lost in the sound. Recorded live at Otterhead Studios, then mixed and mastered by James Trevascus, the album carries that collective spirit into some of their most expansive music yet. Beneath it all are questions about passing time, the boundaries we create and the things we imagine will last forever. We’re very proud to be sharing it with you. ✨

International Dust is here! Our new album has been delievered and we are buzzing. It looks so great!

It’s available on bandcamp, via @lostmaprecords and in some record shops (@roughtrade and @normanrecs and @junorecords) and we also have new merch that will be available at our instore this Friday 16th Oct @dashthehengerecords

A big thank you to everyone who preordered - we will be posting out this week, along with a limited edition zine and some pin badges. Also huge thanks to @katecanaveral1 for packing these up and to everyone at @lostmaprecords for supporting this album.

We are excited to release it and tour around. Many gigs coming up in the next few months with @bitcloudymusic @neilsestate @laurachops - our flat has become a big shop so please buy our things so we can sit down somewhere!

Behold a new poster from @laurachops (with photo by @suzi_corker) advertising the true fact that we (hereafter known as “the band”) are playing an in-store (hereafter known as “the gig”) at the brilliant Dash The Henge record store in Camberwell.

As stated on the poster, the band will play the gig at 8pm on Friday 16th October (doors 7pm) and it will consist of the album in its entirety (for better or worse) plus perhaps a couple of the “mega hits”, if people clamour for them.

An outtake from our audition to say we have got an album in store @dashthehengerecords on the release day of International Dust! Come to Camberwell, the centre of the universe on Friday 16th October from 7pm ⚫️

There will be some new exclusive (very nice) merch. We will also play the entire album and there will might be an international cake covered in dust. Not cocaine or ashes, probably just icing sugar.

Will make a poster in a bit. But spread the word xxx
