We know sauna is good for our bodies, and we feel it also feeds the soul, possibly even as a treatment modality for depression. As @billgifford says in his highly recommended book Hotwired: " ... on a deeper level, (sauna) helps us reconnect with what it means to be human. And it points toward a more collaborative, as opposed to competitive, approach to wellness and health." Not simply a health hack, sauna is a psycho-socio-spiritual balm for what ails us.

Fire Within goes anywhere, friend. Our locally crafted sauna is pulled on a trailer behind a 4WD pickup, so we are road-worthy and able to bring portable pro-human relaxation to your door. Sauna book club, anyone?🔥

While we can't claim to do it better than Mother Nature herself, she is certainly our muse when it comes to providing temperature extremes that challenge and rejuvenate the system. Just in case you missed @wellmagazine's nod to the practice, we've linked to it in our bio. @firewithinsauna and other Colorado sauna providers are featured, just in time for those cooler temperatures.

"A tradition as old as time has worked its way back into the modern wellness scene, and for good reason. Contrast therapy, the practice of alternating between intense heat and cold for two to three cycles, involves back-to-back sauna and cold plunge sessions."

Got resilience? Let's talk sauna and female hormones.

@naturalwomanhood recently published strong data on sauna's ability to regulate cortisol levels. While in the sauna, our stress hormones increase, but when we regularly utilize the practice, the restful side of our nervous system activates, supporting us in sustainable recovery and relaxation. This translates to more functional hormones, especially for those working with PMS, menopause, thyroid concerns, or cycle irregularities.

We could talk more about sauna's benefit on the cardiovascular system, and how this can balance the heart decline that may occur in a woman's later years; let's save that for next time🔥

We are opening our books for fall/winter rentals of a locally crafted, wood-fired mobile sauna offering along the Western Slope of CO and SE Utah. Think weddings, holidays, ski trips, etcetera .... Our sanctuary is yours.

Sauna in summer seems antithetical to some. However, strong data support heat therapy's ability to support us in acclimating to the higher temperatures of the season, as well as enhance recovery and relaxation all year.

Private rentals available ... mobile sauna on the Western Slope of Colorado. Locally crafted; yours in health🔥

@wellmagco gave us a recent nod, along with other Colorado sauna friends ... grab some tea and peruse pages 26-27 of their digital issue (see Linktree in our bio). Here's to health!

And, if you feel so inspired, DM us to book a mobile sauna for several hours or days for your Western Slope summer wedding, retreat, or other gathering🔥

Let's keep it simple. Here's your packing list for sauna pleasures, for those attending one of our spring events or enjoying a private rental.

And of course, a few rules. Inside the sauna: No shoes, phones, pets, or food. Only water on the rocks, and always sit on a towel. And, most of all, have fun.

What would you add to your sauna bag?🔥
