There’s something special about seeing Indonesian food from different regions finding a place in the Netherlands.

This time, we’re talking about Padang cuisine from West Sumatra, rich, spicy, and full of character.

With @waroengpadanglapek opening its new branch in Amsterdam, it’s lovely to see another part of Indonesia’s culinary story being shared here.

And honestly, Indonesian food has so many stories to tell🤍

Celebrating Indonesia 🇮🇩✨
Thank you so much for having us at the celebration of the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, hosted by the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague.

Since my first visit to Indonesia last year for our TV show @firstclass_indonesia together with my dear friend @sherleyyahya , I have carried a very special connection with the country with me. Experiencing its rich culture, the warmth of its people and its incredible traditional cuisine firsthand was truly unforgettable.

It was therefore a great honour to celebrate this special occasion here in the Netherlands, surrounded by the Indonesian community, distinguished guests and members of the diplomatic community.🫶

I am also very proud that First Class Indonesia could be part of this special evening and that we can continue to celebrate the beautiful connection between Indonesia and the Netherlands.

Thank you to the Embassy and the Ambassador for having me. It was an honour to be part of this beautiful celebration. 🇮🇩✨

Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia! ❤️
