POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Exactly one week ago, I performed a cover of Adele's Skyfall at Miss Jamaica World Eastern Region Finals. I know you know that, but I'm building the courage to post as I type this caption.

I still can't believe I did it. Can't believe I made that dress. Can't believe I'm surrounded by lovely people like @justin_plunkett_1 and @mickoyjennings who rallied behind me and made sure I had footage of my performance (and provided supporting vocals lol)

Thank you to the two people who pushed me to share this, and to everyone in the audience who so much as nodded. The support was palpable and appreciated.

It's not perfect, but nothing alive is, and if I keep waiting to post 'perfect', my entire life will have belonged to just me. In the words of Granny CTRL, "Who wants that?"

Okay. Closing my eyes now and pressing 'share'. by @firstnameeby

I'm not often a long caption girlie, but bear with me. Last Saturday, I was given the opportunity to perform at the finals for @missjamaicaworldeasternregion Grand Coronation. It truly reminded me how much I love performing — how I come to life on stage. A stage is one of the few places where you're allowed to be HUGE, to be dramatic, to suck all the air out of the room. On stage, I can be everything and anyone for a few fleeting minutes. I'd gone too long without allowing myself that feeling.

Big up @asignz for capturing these moments and of course Jermaine Dyer for believing in me and pushing me to stop shrinking myself.

Thank you all for indulging this performance as a long-caption-girlie. You can swipe now to get my regular one liner behaviour. 😘

This one is actually my favourite but yk...

Obligatory sweet girl pose

Zoom in. I literally gave myself goosebumps

I made this dress! Let's all clap together.

Merry Christmas!!!

I love a good Christmas shoot, and after having spent my first Christmas away from home last year, I wanted to make this one extra-Jamaican.

Which is your favourite slide?
