Our gutters needed clearing and, as a busy mum of 3 (still feels weird saying that! 😆), I really don’t have time to spend searching for trustworthy trades people. This is where the @checkatrade app is brilliant. It showed me local, reliable tradesmen who could carry out the work and then sent them my details so they could provide me with a quote. I also liked that I could compare reviews. ⁣

It took minutes to arrange and the job was completed within a few days. It couldn’t have been more simple. I 💯% recommend. 10/10 from me 👌🏼 I’m a convert. ⁣

Before and After - Christmas edition ✨

So grateful to be at the ‘after’ but wanted to share the before and during as that was our reality for years! So hold tight if you’re at that stage 🫶🏼

Also, it’s not really ‘now’ but it’ll be today as the decs are down and the tree is up 🎄

Our little girl sang this song on stage yesterday, with her school, as part of the town light switch on - one of my all time favs 🥹🫶🏼

Do I really think Aphrodite’s rock sent me my baby? No 😆

Do I think what’s meant for you won’t pass you by? Absolutely!

Maybe it’s the postpartum hormones but I’m feeling all emosh at the fact I was stood there exactly a year, ago asking the universe for a year filled with love and happiness, and now we’ve got the baby I didn’t know we needed 🥹🫶🏼

Sidenote - it took me a while to be able to watch it but I’m so pleased I asked my mum to film the birth 🫶🏼….although she really needs to work on her angles 😅

We’ve had our beautiful little babe for a few weeks now and we’ve been soaking up all the newborn cuddles and adjusting to life as a family of five. So full of love right now, especially seeing our older two with their new sister 🥹🫶🏼

I didn’t get my water birth as this one wasn’t hanging around…my labour was recorded as 4 minutes! 😅🤣 Obvs the build up was longer but we’re all good and my midwife was amazing 🙌🏼

I had the best time yesterday with my best girls 🫶🏼

I know Baby Showers aren’t for everyone but my last baby was born in Lockdown so I wanted to make the most of being able to celebrate this one with the people I love. Plus this is defo my last baby!

I went for a mix of DIY and hired decor to keep to a budget.

Cake ~ home made by my amazing sister-in-laws. It was a smaller version of our wedding cake 🥹

Starting the nursery with a £17 DIY Panelling Kit!

Say what?! £17 and 1hr of our time to transform a room!
.
I’ve never done a voice over before or shown half a project but I was so impressed with this kit that I wanted to get it on my grid.
.
It’s not ad, I paid the full £17 with Tim’s money 😝
.
Next up is painting….we’re going for a neutral colour and then I’ll probably wallpaper above the panelling too. Hit me up with your fave neutrals 🙏🏼

Bathroom reno reality for anyone who sees those quick flips on here and feels bad…

We didn’t renovate our bathroom for 7 years. The bathroom was a 70s suite and way overdue a makeover (we removed the curtains and carpet 😅) but we’d run out of money/time and had to prioritise.

Because we did what we could ourselves this added more time once the job had started…don’t forget another year for finishing touches…and another to hang the toilet roll holder 😝

In other news my 4 year old did her first ballet exam today and she smashed it 🫶🏼 I’m too hormonal to cope 🥹

DIY Slated Fence Guide

I had quite few questions about our fence when I shared my last reel so I thought I’d do a little guide.

We did it four years ago and to the people who said it would last a month….it’s still standing 🙌🏼
.
The total cost was around £800 👌🏼 (but I know prices have increased since we did ours).
