FTF is about getting new faces & voices in bands & doing something about the lack of diversity in the DIY music community💋💦

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

It has been a while since we lost our beloved DIY space, but we're still going strong despite the pandemic and economic meltdown. Thanks to our amazing community of volunteers, and everyone that plays and supports the bands! A real community run by the community.

We wouldn't be able to carry on without the incredible venues that support us such as @thecavarms who sells amazing pizzas and keep getting out of bed to let us in for our sunday afternoon workshops, and @signaturebrewe8 who have just booked us in for our 2027 festival! We can't wait to see who will be playing next year. Maybe you've never picked up an instrument before? It could be you!

I picked up drumsticks for the first time in Oct 2016 and by May 2017 I was performing in my first ever band! A year later I was playing indie tracks. Anything is possible!!! by @firsttimersfest

Sophie, Sian, Jodie, Ellie and Kate are a five-piece of bisexual women living in South London coming together for the first time to make music from the end of the Northern Line. Sophie previously played First Timers as the guitarist in Tiny Jean Pocket but returns here for the first time on bass in KILL YOUR HOUSEPLANTS. Her current adversary is her Snake Plant.

Hailing from the city suburbs, Suburban Foxes raid indie, pop and punk to write daft songs about real life. They're making a racket in spite of property developers, locked bins and everything else trying to keep them quiet.

Don't be sweating at home this Sunday, come join us in @signaturebrewe8 with a cool beer and some chill foxes. Ticket link in bio by @firsttimersfest
