Me: I’ll just whip up a quick sign.
Also me: teaching myself bookbinding with foam board at midnight 😂📖✨

Once upon a DIY… a blank acrylic board turned into the opening chapter of our princess party 💫📖

It started with foam board, a few careful cuts, and me pretending I was a professional bookbinder (plot twist: I’m not 😂). A little scoring here, a little glue there, and suddenly those flat pieces curved into storybook pages.

Add in cardstock ‘pages,’ a sprinkle of fairy glue magic ✨, and voilà — an enchanted welcome sign fit for a princess.

Because motherhood has a way of turning coffee, craft supplies, and sheer determination into magic 👑💕

🍒DIY Disco Ball Cherry Garland🍒

As soon as I saw the DIY Dollar Tree Cherry Garland by @beautifulinspire.co, I knew I had to make one!

I found some pretty pink disco balls on Amazon and some pastel green pipe cleaners. Since my bow making game isn’t quite up to par, I made some pink pipe cleaner bows to add some length to my garland.

This may be my new favorite DIY! Definitely try this one!

When I started planning this party, I wasn’t trying to create the prettiest tablescape.

I wanted to create the kind of afternoon my kids would still be talking about weeks later.

So instead of just decorating…

✨ They followed a treasure map.
✨ Crossed the pirate’s plank.
✨ Dug for hidden treasure.
✨ Mixed magical mermaid potions.
✨ Returned the lost Moon Pearl.

The decorations helped tell the story, but the adventure became the memory.

One of my favorite party tricks is giving kids something they can create and wear.

These mermaid crowns doubled as an activity and became part of the adventure. By the time they were searching for treasure and mixing magical potions, every little mermaid had a crown she made herself.

POV: You wanted to throw a magical summer party… but make it slightly haunted. 👻🧜🏻‍♀️

So I turned our backyard into a forgotten tea party where Captain Boo lost the Moon Pearl.

The kids followed a treasure map, crossed a pirate’s plank, dug for hidden pearls, mixed magical potions, built pirate ships, and uncovered treasure hidden inside a giant clam shell.

Every printable, label, clue card, and story was designed from scratch, and seeing the adventure come to life made every late night worth it. ✨

My daughter and I decided Dad deserved a Father’s Day celebration from a galaxy far, far away. ✨

So we took a theme that’s usually bold and transformed it into something a little softer, a little more whimsical, and very Petal & Bow.

From the Endor-inspired AT-AT centerpiece to the Rebel Snack Station and Death Star place settings, every detail was designed to celebrate one of our favorite people.

And if you’ve noticed I’ve been a little MIA lately, life has been full. Pregnancy at 43 while chasing a 5-year-old and a 1.5-year-old has left me with a little less energy for social media and a lot more appreciation for coffee and quiet moments.

But creating special memories for my family is still one of my favorite things, and this Father’s Day setup was worth every minute.
