I fish, I climb, and I try not to take myself too seriously.

Caught my new PB this past weekend! I am still in shock. Maybe I'll catch her again in a year or two and she will be at the legendary 10 pound status, but for now, this was an absolute joy for me.

2023 bass count: 139

I recently tore my left deltoid so I have mostly been working on rehabbing it, but I did get this climb before the injury that I thought was really fun. 😬

I think we all probably had someone who got us into fishing. For me, it was my grandma. Back then, I didn't really understand what it must have meant to her, but now as a dad, I think I'm seeing it with an entirely new perspective. Every time I'm out on the water a piece of her comes along with me and hopefully one day it will be the same for my kid. Happy Father's Day everyone and thanks for the thoughtful present @trottthoughts! by @fishingwithyoo

Forgot to post this, but I had a fun multi species day on the hooch. I really enjoy getting out on the kayak with all the electronics, but once in awhile it's fun to just take a single rod and a few lures and walk the bank.

Might have been a dab on this one, but on the account that it wasn't the crux AND the fact that the start of this was leaving a bruise on my foot bone, I think I'll just let this one sit as is. I did the beta break on this one too, but it wasn't nearly as interesting.

Forgot to post this but I had a super weird day last time I was out on the water. Caught about 10 fish but couldn't get two fish on the same lure. Talk about struggling to find a pattern. 🥴

Anyone know what kind of snake this is? Couldn't tell and didn't want to get too close in case it was a water moccasin lol.

Only got about two hours on the water on Saturday before I realized I had a horrible stomach bug and had to leave ASAP 😂.

However I did manage to catch one on a new glide bait. It's the savage gear 5.25 inch shine glide and I was really impressed with it since it's a $20 glide bait. The action darts really well with an erratic retrieve. Only weighs an ounce too, so you can throw it on your frog or punching rod. I'm excited to throw it a bit more in the upcoming weeks and hopefully hook into one a little larger than this guy 😆 by @fishingwithyoo

Been working on footwork lately including heel hooks and this was a good one to practice keeping tension. A tad harder than it looks since on the overhang 😅

The draft yesterday with an appearance from Eminem was nostalgic.

Honestly it's been a bit of a dink fest the last couple outings, but I did find a new rig that I'll start using called the free rig. Seems to work marginally better than a Texas rig in open water. 👍

Wasn't sure I would land this one as the holds are a bit worse than they look, but pretty fun one.
