the only thing that really moves the needle: consistency.
* It’s showing up when you’re tired.
* Hitting your meals when no one’s watching.
* Training when it’s not convenient.
* Choosing effort again... and again... and again
* Not quitting just because you don’t see quick results by @fitbysusana

POBRE CRISTY PARTE II. ALSO…….HOW TO EAT OUT, STAY ON TRACK, AND STILL LOSE FAT

Scroll for 6 science-backed tips and tricks that actually work

1. LOOK UP THE MENU AHEAD OF TIME
AVOID LAST-MINUTE
PANIC-ORDERING. PICK YOUR MEAL WHEN YOU’RE CALM AND FOCUSED.

2. EAT LIGHTER EARLIER IN THE DAY
SAVE CALORIES BY EATING HIGH-PROTEIN, HIGH-FIBER MEALS BEFOREHAND. DON’T FAST...
JUST PLAN
SMART.

3. DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK
REQUEST SWAPS LIKE
DRESSING ON THE SIDE, GRILLED NOT FRIED, AND VEGGIES OVER FRIES.

4. MAKE IT YOUR LAST MEAL OF THE DAY
ANCHOR YOUR DAY AROUND DINNER. IT’S EASIER TO STAY ON TRACK IF YOU END THE DAY SATISFIED.

5. ASK FOR A TO-GO BOX
RIGHT AWAY
BOX HALF YOUR MEAL BEFORE YOU START.
YOU’LL EAT LESS AND HAVE LEFTOVERS.

6. BE THE FIRST ONE TO ORDER
AVOID BEING INFLUENCED BY INDULGENT CHOICES AT THE TABLE. LOCK YOURS IN FIRST. by @fitbysusana

The best way to improve your conditioning is to find the right balance between intensity, volume and frequency

A BIG mistake people make when trying to improve their conditioning is only training harder

You can't train with both high intensity and high volume for long before you end up overtrained and/or injured

The best way to improve your conditioning is to find the right balance between intensity, volume and frequency

The truth is that for the purposes of conditioning, frequency matters... a LOT

The best solution to this problem is to train 2-3 days per week hard and 2-3 days per week easy

In other words, follow the high/low training model

Even better, consult with your trainer to decide which days should be your hard days and which days should be your easy days-and hit your weekly training targets. by @fitbysusana

πŸ’₯ What does weight on your spine do?

❌ Many people with or without back pain are told that putting weight on their spine is hard on their low back, or bad for their discs.

This discourages individuals from loading their spine, or thinking that pressure on their discs is bad.
However, this often leads to more pain and disability!

πŸ”‘ The key here is that recent research shows that weight on a disc actually improves the size (hydration) of a disc, and the content profile (the disc matrix).
What does this mean?

It means putting weight on your discs can be a good thing!
Of course, if you are in a lot of pain we don’t expect you to go put a barbell on your back and do squats.

We need to figure out how to get you out of pain first, and then guide you back to being strong and stable again so the results last the rest of your life! by @fitbysusana
