VO2 max. You’ve probably heard the term, but do you actually know what it means or why it matters?

I’ve been testing mine for the past three years, and my results have continued to improve year after year. I love being able to actually measure my progress and see how the work I’m putting in, both with cardio and strength training, is paying off.

If you’ve never tested yours and you’re curious, you can do it at @fitcareplusmiami

Poor Kirk is always catching strays on my podcast 😂

Anyone else relate to this? I remember when burning 100 calories took some serious effort. Now people are casually burning 1,000, 2,000, even 3,000 calories in one workout?!

I’ve always questioned how accurate those numbers really are. And according to Dr. Andino, there’s a good chance your watch is overestimating how many calories you’re actually burning.

GLP-1s are everywhere. You’re either on them, thinking about going on them, or completely against them.

I’m all about asking questions, learning, and making informed decisions. So I sat down with a Harvard-trained obesity doctor who is actually on GLP-1s himself to get some answers.

We talked about so much more than GLP-1s, from weight loss and metabolism to overall health and longevity.

I loved this conversation and learned so much from it. I hope you do too!

CH 36 with Dr. Robert Andino is OUT NOW! Full episode at the link in bio. by @fitcareplusmiami

We hear about GLP-1s everywhere these days, but how much do we actually know about them?

Tomorrow, I’m sitting down with a Harvard-trained obesity doctor who also takes GLP-1s himself. Someone I’ve trusted with my own health for years, and who brings both medical expertise and firsthand experience to the conversation.

We’re talking benefits, risks, side effects, and everything in between. Plus, I put my own health to the test with a Bod Pod, VO2 max testing, and more.

So many questions, and some really interesting answers.

What is VO₂ Max — and why does everyone from marathoners to longevity experts talk about it?

VO₂ Max = the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use during intense exercise.

Higher VO₂ Max =
✅ better endurance
✅ stronger cardiovascular health
✅ improved longevity
✅ smarter training zones

We measure it using a gold-standard CPET test, giving you clear zones to train in — no more guessing.
