READ CAPTION 👇🏽♥️……
People often point out how lucky I am that my skin bounced back tightly without any surgery. Having been morbidly obese for a few years, my skin has had a lot to endure and my body is definitely nowhere near tight and toned to as I wish it’d be.
I would choose loose skin over being overweight a thousand times over again, but not seeing the results of all the hard work I’m putting into the gym, definitely has made me shed a tear or two.
I am planning on getting a tummy tuck in the near future when the timing and finances are right, but for now we learn to accept what is and what isn’t & getting strong is the main goal 💪🏽

52kg (114lbs) DOWN… in 13 months. Can’t believe I did it🤯
No surgery, no crazy diets. Just me showing up for me.

Couldn’t have done it without my biggest support and trainer @daphnedebeer_pt
Who showed up midnights and early mornings for me to make this happen.
Forever grateful 💙 taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @fitgalguigui

Sandpit Shenanigans -Part ✌🏽
To those paying close attention… no I didn’t film kilometre four. I got raced by a 5 and 7 year old who absolutely SMOKED me, without a head start!!!
Bet my ego spent the entire 4th kilometre trying to recover from pure humiliation 😭😂 taken in Dubai,UAE by @fitgalguigui

Wow wow wow. ROTTERDAM!!! 🥹⚡️
I’m officially a (half) marathoner!!!!

The start was… messy.
Supposed to start in Wave 5, ended up at the very back of Wave 7, with crowds, narrow paths and nowhere to move for the first five kilometres.

KM 1–10: Beautiful surroundings. Brutal headwinds. Completely humbled.

KM 11: My entire left side said ✌🏽.
Cramps. Tight hamstring. Tight calf. And sharp hip pains that nearly took me out.

KM 19: The best support was waiting for me.

And then… the final 2K.
I don’t know what that route was, but the one billion curves, seven surprise inclines and people throwing up on the sidelines were definitely NOT on my bingo card.

BUT WE FINISHED.
Strong. Determined. And we did exactly what we set out to do.

Finish - 2:24:42
Taking off 24mins of my last PB!

Rotterdam, you were a beautiful ride!
So… Rotterdam full marathon next? 👀 taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @fitgalguigui

23 years ago, I ran my last race. Crying my ass off all the way to the finish line cause I absolutely HATED running.

So, I quit.
Left running behind.
And swore I’d NEVER run again.

Anyway… apparently I’m a woman who enjoys being delulu, cause without any prep, I’m happy to announce that:

Rotterdam Half Marathon, I’M COMING FOR YA! ⚡️✨

Who will I be seeing at the start line? 👇🏽 taken in Rotterdam, Netherlands by @fitgalguigui
