A little bit about the “why” behind Oli & Len 🤍

This isn’t actually the first time I’ve turned my creativity into a way of helping our family reach a big goal.

When I first started creating and selling in 2020, my reason was to help us save money for IVF ( which we started in 2022). I was working my full-time job in Texas as a correctional Officer and making and selling macrame on the side. What began as a creative outlet became something that could genuinely help us work towards our dream of building a family.

And somehow, years later, here I am on another journey.

Since moving to Australia two years ago, we’ve been without a car. That means a lot of walking—an average of around 40 km a week. With the very kids we once dreamed about.

We’re incredibly grateful to be able to walk and explore our new community, but having a car would make everyday life with our little family so much easier.

So, once again, I’m turning to something I love: creating.

Every macramé hanger I knot, every piece of furniture I restore and every order you support is helping us work towards our next big goal: saving for a car.

But it’s about more than that.

This little business is also giving me the opportunity to stay home and raise our babies while still doing something I genuinely love and contributing towards our family’s goals.

There’s something incredibly full-circle about it all.

I started creating to help us work towards the dream of having a family, and now I’m creating again to help support that very same family—while getting to spend these precious years at home raising them. 🤍

Sometimes I look at my kids walking alongside me and can’t quite believe how much life has changed. The little business I started years ago to help us chase one dream is now helping us work towards another.

That’s why every order means so much more than simply making a sale.

Thank you for being here, supporting my little business and following along on this journey. Every like, share, order and bit of encouragement truly means the world to us.
