First jumper day of the autumn this week. I reverted to my friends cream and brown with an autumnal scarf for a splash of colour. My wardrobe needs some cosy woollens but these cotton jumpers from @seasaltcornwall are the perfect lighter option for this time of year.

I had the option to post with wet hair…or not at all! Today was one of the first days when it felt noticeably cooler. I still worn a linen jumpsuit - with a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath. The cream cord shirt is from @oliveclothing.

Entering long-sleeved t-Shirt territory - but I’m still enjoying my early morning coffee outside. I am starting to realise that @seasaltcornwall have stakes in most of my wardrobe. This black jumpsuit and red top are both Seasalt. I am undecided on the jumpsuit. Reds I have to be careful with - it’s a fine line between ‘vibrant and bold’ and ‘does she need resuscitating?’ with my skin tone. I think I can just about get away with this tomato-red.

I struggle to make skirts of this length work. But I also didn’t want to leave this on the hanger any longer because the print is so beautiful. It’s inspired by the beautiful subtropical Tresco Abbey Garden on the Isles of Scilly. I really hope to visit one day, perhaps even wearing this skirt.

Heading to mid September and my linen dress days are almost numbered. I don’t usually buy multiples of the same thing but I loved the @seasaltcornwall Carved Wood dress so much that I also bought it secondhand in this summery teal colour. If I could add the red version I think I will consider my Carved Wood collection complete. Maybe. by @fitsandlines

What a novel experience to wake to the insistent patter of gentle rain. I rejoiced for the parched trees and reached for the first non-legging-trousers I bought. These cropped mustard cords from @seasaltcornwall felt brave at the time. As far from black as you can go! I have a pair of forest Green cords on my ever-growing clothes wishlist too. Top from @hushofficial - they have a few styles, ubiquitous and reasonable on Vinted. I think they’ll see me nicely through these cooler end of summer days. by @fitsandlines

I’m trying to be braver with mixing colours. I thjnk I have a fairly well developed sense of which colours pair harmoniously but it’s so easy to reach for black, white and cream. And it does allow a single colour to shine. Here I’ve paired brick orange with a petrol blue. Trousers are my trusty barrel legs from @pilcrobyanthro and the top is @monki.
Perhaps after I’ve mastered colour, I can learn to take a straight photo in a mirror?

The air was distinctly autumnal this morning and I needed a long-sleeved top. I received an Accessorize gift voucher for my birthday and used it to purchase two neck scarves. One featured here! I am still learning how to ‘complete’ and elevate outfits with accessories.
I’m not sure how I feel about summer fading finally. Even with all of autumn’s charms, I will forever be a summer child.
