This HYROX was different. Cheers to just getting it done!🥂
My first Pro Solo, and if I’m being honest, I gave myself EVERY excuse possible not to do it. I told myself I didn’t trained hard enough(and I didn’t ). I told myself I was not mentally prepared enough. But excuses don’t move you forward.

That is exactly why I had to do this one alone.

I traveled alone, stayed alone, and kept to myself for most of the experience. It was not about anyone else. It was me vs. me. I needed to prove to myself that I could still show up, compete, and finish, even without feeling fully prepared.

No, I did not hit my goal time. But I finished 7 minutes faster than my Open Solo time last year, and that’s progress to work with.

This race was bigger than a number on the clock. It was about discipline, resilience, and choosing to move forward in spite of doubt. Mind over matter. Pressure over excuses. Growth over comfort.

I got it done, and more importantly, I learned exactly what needs to happen next.

Sometimes the greatest victory is not in perfect preparation. It is in having the courage to show up anyway and prove to yourself that you are capable of more than you think.

This photo was taken in 2022, and whew… if we only knew what the years ahead were going to bring.

Since then, there have been highs, lows, wins, losses, storms, struggles, laughter, tears, rebuilding, starting over, and moments that tested me in ways I never expected. Through all of it, Cornel has been there.

Not just for the good moments. Not just when things were easy. But through the messy parts too. The uncertain seasons. The hard conversations. The moments when I needed encouragement, perspective, or simply somebody who wasn’t going anywhere.

As you get older, you realize friendship isn’t measured by how often you talk or how long you’ve known someone. It’s measured by who shows up. Who stays consistent. Who can celebrate you at your highest and still stand beside you when life brings you to your knees.

Everybody needs people in their corner who genuinely want to see them win.

And after everything we’ve been through since this photo was taken, I’m grateful to say this friendship has weathered every storm. 🤍

Real friendship is a blessing. Protect it. Appreciate it. Never take it for granted.

Summer 2026 owes me NOTHING!

A year later, and somehow the vision I wrote down in 2025 is showing up in reality. Not perfectly, bc there have definitely been some wins, some losses, a few plot twists, and some “Lord, what are we doing here?” moments. 😮‍💨
But here we are…

✅Travel
✅Good health my and my family
✅New relationships fostered
✅Closed doors that needed to stay closed
✅Finding myself again
✅Learning more about what happiness actually means to ME
✅Finding MY peace
✅Financial gains

Some things happened exactly how I envisioned them. Others happened completely differently, but EVERYTHING, has taught me something.

ALL GLORY TO GOD! I’m grateful for the growth, the lessons, the blessings, the redirections, and even the things that didn’t work out. It may not be A lot but it’s A lot for me and I feel very blessed!

Don’t let anyone gaslight you into apologizing for reacting to the disrespect they chose to give you. Your response is valid and is not worse than their disrespect. Accountability feels like an attack only to people who never truly take full responsibility.

They say actions speak louder than words, and nothing proves you’re capable more than simply showing up and getting it done. I still complain about running every year!! Yet somehow I keep signing up for races 😩 😂. There may have been 50,000 runners out there, but the only competition that mattered was the one in my own mind. Me vs. me Every time.

I don’t normally make these type of post but June was different! It was a gentle reminder that life is meant to be experienced. From international flights, to yacht parties, to pool parties, every experience felt like a little glimpse of the life I’ve been praying for.
I’m so grateful for the memories, the laughter, the people, and the opportunities to simply live. God continues to open doors I couldn’t have planned myself, and I never want to take His blessings for granted.
