Shawarma Nachos-sometimes u gotta spice it up 😜recipe 👇🏽
-Cut pita bread in triangle shapes and spray generously with avocado oil spray and sprinkle sea salt. Place in air fryer until crispy.
-Shawarma Meat- top sirloin cut thinly-2lbs, 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/2 cup lemon juice, generous salt, 3-4 tablespoons of shawarma spice. Grill or stove cook and cut in thin pieces.
-Top crispy pita with any cheese (I actually won’t use the cheese next time).
-Add the cut meat and top with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions, parsley, pickles and tahini sauce*

*Tahini sauce -one garlic, 1/4 cup tahini, juice of one lemon, salt and add a few Tablespoons until you reach the right consistency.

Gut healthy chicken veggie soup recipe 👇🏽

1.using an instapot or pressure cooker, pressure cook 3-4 split chicken breast for 45 min. Add chicken stock as your base for more flavor and any herbs or spices-I used bay leaves and cinnamon sticks
2. Chop one onion, one leek, 3-5 carrots, and 3-4 stalks of celery. Sauté in a large pot with some avocado oil. Add 1tbl of garlic.
3. When the chicken is done remove from pot and shred. Add the broth to the veggie pot. I added extra vegetables here-chopped mushrooms and asparagus-and simmer for 20-30 min.
4. Lastly add the chicken into the pot with some chopped Barkley and simmer for another 10 min.

Merry Christmas friends and family. This year I told myself I was going to work hard to get a six pack before I turn 40. Let’s just say I’m close but not quite there (babies could have something to do with this).

Either way, my motivation took me to a new chapter of fitness. I focused on heavier lifting, more circuit hiit training and yoga. I was taking or teaching 2 classes a day, one in the morning and one afternoon, always lifting and some sort of cardio. I also incorporated yoga almost 4 times a week and Pilates. I workout out 7 days a week and intermittent fast most days.

It was hard and but I must say my energy has improved, my sleep and focus are much better and I lost almost 10 lbs in the process. I think at the end of the day you have to check your own body and see how it responds to certain treatments.

Some people say fasting is bad while others have great success. Some people don’t like hot yoga, but the effect of heat and balance and stretching on the body is so positive.(my migraines that I’ve had for 6years are now occurring rarely).
Some people say lifting heavy hurts their joints, but the impact of not lifting is joint pain. I think you always need to surprise your body and your mind and get out of that comfort zone you have created. So here’s a challenge, find a class that you never thought you’d want to take and take it. See how you feel. Then do another, and another. Then come tell me I’m right or wrong.

Btw the credit goes to this amazing app called #classpass which introduced me to so many locals amazing gyms. I’ve had so much fun discovering new ways to workout.🏋️

Cheers to busy gyms come January 1st! Let’s bring it💪🏽

Cheers to another year in a new decade🥂. It’s amazing how things change as you understand life a little better. New priorities build, relationships that are too complicated are removed, self happiness becomes priority in order to care for others, health is number 1 and the list goes on. I start this new chapter evolved, enlightening and excited to focus on the things that matter.
