One of my favorite personal discoveries of last year was the music of Ken Pomeroy.

Quick trip to Denver to celebrate my daughter’s birthday a little early. Her favorite band, The Backseat Lovers are playing Red Rocks tomorrow. Made a quick stop at Casa Bonita tonight. Vivid memories of going to the OKC and Tulsa locations growing up. Lots of nostalgia tonight. Love this time with my favorite people. taken in Casa Bonita by @fitzspins

Dig - Dig (1993)

Super underrated album from back in the 90’s. They were in MTV’s Buzz Bin for a while, which meant they were MTV a ton for a brief period of time. Not sure why this album isn’t talked about more. A great album of the era.

Beck - Ride Lonesome (2026)

I tend to be a completist with artists. If I have one of their albums, I have to get them all. Not the case with Beck. I admire his willingness to try different things and explore different kinds of music. For me, melancholy Beck is it. Sea Change, Morning Phase and now Ride Lonesome are the only Beck I have and it’s more than enough for me. This is as beautiful as Morning Phase or Sea Change. Also love that Jellyfish alumni Roger Joseph Manning Jr and Jason Falkner are a big part of these recordings. Absolutely beautiful recording.
