Six decades of motoring heritage, one shared passion.

At Misano World Circuit, ASI and FIVA celebrated their 60th anniversaries with an extraordinary gathering of historic vehicles, from classic cars and motorcycles to racing vehicles, utility vehicles and more. ASI Fest brought generations together to celebrate the diversity and enduring appeal of our motoring heritage.

Joining the celebrations were FIVA President @alberto_scuro, Vice Presidents Luigi Frigerio, @raminsaleh1 and Timo Vuorto, members of the FIVA Utility Vehicles Commission, FIVA Emissary @maryam.talaee.1, and a large delegation of motorcyclists representing FIVA. Visitors also had the opportunity to meet motorsport legends Arturo Merzario, Giancarlo Minardi, Emanuele Pirro and 15-time motorcycle world champion Giacomo Agostini.

The event also looked to the future of historic mobility. Biofuels and HVO100 were also showcased, highlighting how innovation can support the continued use of historic vehicles.

Organised in accordance with ISO 20121 standards for sustainable event management and free for the public to attend, ASI Fest showed how heritage preservation, accessibility and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.

A new Memorandum of Understanding with Confagricoltura, the Italian General Confederation of Agriculture, marked an important step towards preserving the heritage of agricultural mechanisation.

As FIVA and ASI celebrate 60 years of commitment to historic vehicles, their shared mission continues: to safeguard motoring heritage, embrace innovation and keep history moving forward.

🏁 THE ROAD TO 60 | The Origins

-10

Every great journey has a starting point.
Sixty years ago, a group of historic vehicle organisations from different countries came together around one shared vision: the vehicles of the past were more than machines. They were witnesses to human ingenuity, design, craftsmanship, mobility and culture. And they deserved to be protected for the generations still to come.

From that conviction, the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (‘FIVA’) was born.
What began with a handful of passionate organisations soon became an international movement, united by a purpose that still drives us today: to protect, preserve and promote the world’s motoring heritage. Because preserving a historic vehicle does not simply mean keeping the past alive: it means giving the past a road into the future.

This November, one month from today, as the FIVA family gathers in Brussels to celebrate this extraordinary 60-year journey, we will look back at the people, milestones and ideas that made it possible!

And now… a question for true motoring heritage enthusiasts: on which date was FIVA officially founded?
A) February 26, 1966
B) November 13, 1966
C) January 1, 1966
