Ten years has a way of changing how you see things.
What felt urgent slows down. What matters becomes clearer.

You learn what’s worth holding on to,
what needs refining,
and what you can finally let go of.

Taste gets sharper.
Decisions get quieter.
The work becomes less about proving and more about purpose.

That’s what this decade has been for us.

Five28, 2016 — 2026.
And we’re still evolving.

For Project Protea Benin, every detail was intentional, including the wall art.

We curated timeless pieces that honor the rich heritage of the Benin Kingdom, celebrating its artistry, royalty, and legacy.

A seamless blend of culture and contemporary luxury, where history graces the walls with modern elegance.

A new year doesn’t change how we design.
It refines why we do it.
In 2026, our focus remains clear, creating spaces that are intentional, functional, and timeless in their appeal.

At Five28, design is never about trends or excess. It’s about understanding how a space should work, how it should feel, and how it should stand the test of time.

This year, we’re designing with even more purpose.
Thoughtfully. Deliberately. Intentionally.
Welcome back to design that lasts.

Before the conversations began, before the guests arrived and before the celebrations unfolded, there was a space being prepared to hold it all.

Every detail came together for a day that marked ten years of Five28.

A look at the setting that welcomed us.

Ten years cannot be told in a single day, but November 1 gave us a moment to pause, look around and take it all in.
The familiar faces, the conversations, the memories and the people who have been part of this journey.

A lot has happened since Five28 began. And this celebration was a reminder of just how far the journey has taken us.

A day worth showing up for. A milestone worth celebrating.

The arrivals, the embraces, the familiar faces and the excitement of coming together to celebrate 10 years of Five28.

Let the celebrations begin.

Ten years ago, we began with a vision. A vision that would grow, evolve and find expression in the spaces we create, the places we shape and the people we empower.

Over the years, there have been new beginnings, milestones, lessons and people who have shaped the journey. Each season has contributed to what Five28 is today.

Today, we celebrate not just how far we’ve come, but everyone and everything that has made this journey meaningful.
Ten years in, there is still so much to build, explore and become.

Happy 10th Anniversary, Five28. Here’s to the next chapter.

Before the spaces, there was a belief. Before the milestones, a leap of faith. Before the world could see the vision, there was the courage to begin.

Ten years later, we find ourselves standing in the evidence of that belief. shaped by grace, carried by extraordinary people and guided by a conviction that what we build today can redefine how Africa lives tomorrow.

But some journeys are too significant to be measured by what has been accomplished alone. They must also be measured by what they make possible.

TEN YEARS FORWARD is a story of beginnings, becoming and the vision that continues to call us into the future of African luxury living.

As @five28global turns 10 this Sunday, November 1, we celebrate a decade behind us and a greater vision before us.

TEN YEARS FORWARD.
A Five28 Story.

Coming soon. by @five28global

Yesterday, we brought an idea to life.

The Future of African Luxury Living is more than a book. It is a reflection on a decade of building, creating and rethinking the spaces we inhabit, the places we call home, and the people shaping the future of design on the continent.

As Five28 marks ten years, this launch represents both a moment to look back at how far we have come and an opportunity to look ahead at what African luxury can become when we tell the story ourselves.

A decade in the making. A future still unfolding.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this milestone.

The future of African luxury living, told through the lens of Five28.

🇳🇬 Funto Ibuoye (@funtoibuoye), business leader, design and real estate entrepreneur, and Chief Executive Officer of Five28, has announced the release of The Future of African Luxury Living- A Five28 Editorial, a new book published to commemorate the 10th anniversary of @five28global. 👏🏽

Marking a decade of work at the intersection of design, architecture, real estate and enterprise, the book reflects on Five28’s journey while looking beyond its first ten years to examine the evolving meaning and possibilities of luxury living on the continent.

The book features a foreword by Titi Ogufere, founder of Design Week Lagos and IDAN, whose work in advancing African design provides an important perspective for the publication.

Its release also coincides with a significant moment for African design. The book is set to be unveiled during Design Week Lagos 2026, a platform whose theme, Making a New Africa, with the sub-theme From Material to Market: Designing for Scale, closely intersect with the questions explored in the editorial.

Over the past decade, Five28 has operated at the intersection of design, real estate and enterprise, contributing to a broader movement of African-led creativity and development.

The anniversary therefore provides a moment not only to celebrate the organisation’s journey, but to consider the larger ecosystem it forms part of, and the responsibility of African businesses and creatives to shape the continent’s future with intention.

Her Network congratulates Funto and the entire Five28 team. 👏🏽💖
