POSTS STORIES REELS

A year ago, I saw @mychemicalromance in Seattle and took a few photos of them from my phone. One of the photos I took (slide 3) popped off in the MCR community and was used for sooo many good memes.

That show, and the photo I took gave me the push I needed to get back into photography after over a decade away from it. I've always loved live music. I catch as many shows as I can because even before getting into photography, I found that being in a crowd, watching people do what they love, made me feel like I was part of something bigger than myself. Music has saved my life over and over again.

I have made so many friends through music over the years, near and far. And now I'm making friends through photography. I am so grateful for this community and the kindness of strangers that have become friends. Thanks for being here to watch my journey 🫶

Are you having trouble keeping track of all of the sick shows Southern Oregon has coming up? In case you haven't noticed, I add flyers to the highlights on my page as I see them! I try to update the highlights weekly to remove past shows and add new flyers as they come up. If I ever miss a flyer, feel free to send or tag me!

Hope this helps. Support live music. Support the community. Go to a show 💕 by @fivefootfourphoto

Caught @burner_hc at King Wah's last night. Such a sick set. Can't wait to get through these photos! by @fivefootfourphoto

There are a lot of new friends here, so I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself! My name is Shawny, and I'm a lifelong lover of live music. MCR has been my favorite band for over 20 years. If you're a diehard fan, you may recognize the photo I took (on my phone) during the Black Parade tour last year that turned into a sea of MCR memes. The show in 2025 reignited my love for photography after a 10 year hiatus, and afterwards, I found myself capturing the local Southern Oregon music scene (where we have an incredible amount of local talent!!)

The purpose behind Five Foot Four Photo is simple... to capture what it feels like to dance together, sing together, and to make connections along the way.

I'm so excited to start going through the photos I took of @mychemicalromance in the pit at the Hollywood Bowl with my point and shoot on 10/30/26. If you love live music, and building community within it, follow along 🫶

Sneak peak at the photos I took at @bridgecitysinners last night in Ashland, OR. This was my second time seeing them live, and first time capturing them in photo. This band means a lot to me as my late friend Jacob introduced me to their music years ago. Hearing ashes played live while having his ashes in my necklace hit different 🫶

Libby was also wearing an insane bolo tie made by my incredibly talented friend @chainsofdecay 😭 neither of us could stop smiling all night! Thanks for a great evening 💕 by @fivefootfourphoto

What a dream capturing @ideclarewarband for a second time and seeing them for a 3rd. Thank you for coming back to Southern Oregon 🫶 don't miss this tour if it's coming near you!!

I think it's time for me to get a flash 🤓
