I conquered Mount Afadjato!!! 🎖️🪖🦾While out in Ghana I was able to visit the Volta Region. Home to the world’s biggest man-made lake and Ghana’s tallest mountain. Being able to experience the Volta region, made my time in Ghana special. From conquering a mountain, to having a traditional dinner in the village of Liati Wote, and sitting in on the formal introduction between the newly appointed king and the founder of the Kasi Institute. Memories and experiences I won’t soon forget. I want to thank @habeshainc and @the_kasinstitute for having me. Great work is being done by this organization to educate and reintegrate the diaspora. by @fivexworld

Today is the Fall Equinox. This is the closest Night and Day will come to being an even split. I thought this would be a perfect time to talk about the level of Balance this woman has brought into my life. Shes truly my other half, and I felt that from the first conversation we ever had on a cellular device. For someone as spirited and competitive as me, peace has not always been intuitive, and she’s shown me levels of peace Buddhist monks strive for. While still indulging my spirited nature. TyT. Electrifying is the only word that could sum up @investfestival . Thank you to @troymillings and @rashadbilal for executing on an idea 5 years ago, that allowed me to share the room with industry titans and growth minded individuals. Yesterday, I had a chance to pick the brains of people who understand the value of building a digital voice. The Content Creation 101 series had three creatives that have found success with in their perspective lanes. Sharing game and insights on how to build in the digital world. My biggest take away outside of the technical tricks talked about, was mindset you need to have with any pursuit. The answers to our questions are usually simple. I tried to ask every question in every way on how do you get consistent high quality engaging content, and unfortunately there’s no trick to posting. You get good at creating content by creating content, and a lot of it is just getting reps in. Message received 🫡 Had a great time at the class, learned a lot. Learned a lot from the attendees as well. If anyone from the class is seeing this and we didn’t get to speak, drop me a follow or DM. I turned 28 last week 🌱🎂 To celebrate, we went camping on Cumberland Island 🏕️ Cumberland Island is Georgia’s largest and southernmost barrier island and it.is.beautiful. We drove 5hrs to St. Mary’s, GA, then had to take a 45min ferry to the island. We camped in the maritime forest, surrounded by some of the most gorgeous trees we have ever seen. We spent the day on the beach, went fishing, cooled down in the evening over smores, and talked about life and what we want from it and of ourselves on the beach under a starry night ⭐️ The island is home to a lot of wildlife, including wild horses, which we stumbled upon a group of as we were navigating a pitch black beach trying to find our way back to our campsite. We only camped for one night, it was a nice lil intro back into being outside. We’d both camped before, but this was our first time having that experience together 💚 We got back to St. Mary’s around 11am Saturday morning and didn’t want the adventure to end. So we decided to drive 45mins down to Jacksonville, FL. We had a beach day, my baby practiced surfing while I journaled, and enjoyed the experience of simply being there. This weekend trip was by far the best trip we’ve ever taken so far, and a beautiful way to bring in 28 ❤️ by @fivexworld

I don’t have a long bucket list, but learning how to surf is one of things on there. Now I can say I’m one step closer to scratching that off. I’ve been skating on and off since my grandma bought my older brother a Walmart board in Indiana when I was in elementary school. I always been inspired by skate culture, the skate clips, the clothes (I got bullied for wearing Osiris’s in 6th grade), the free spirited nature of it all. The mental and physical challenge of it was completely aligned with my “figuring things out” nature. I’m a tinkerer at the end of the day. A Designer. Skating gave me a medium to express myself before I found film and painting. Something I’d probably never fully put down, just have less time for as responsibilities grow and life changes. This was my first time in San Diego, and it showed me how much cities outside of LA; have a lot to offer. Enjoyed my weekend here with my girlfriend, and glad my homie was able to come down from Long Beach to get out on the waters for the first time. Will be going out again this year. I hope if you take anything from this post, you stay curious, and try new things in 2025. What are you going to try this year? P.S- RIP Heath Ledger. Detroit arc complete ☑️ I got the opportunity to live in Detroit for almost 2 months. I was helping manage operations of the largest union organizations in the US, as they fight to make sure working class families are adequately represented in the political arena. Even though we didn’t get our desired outcome. I’m still grateful for the experience and being allotted the opportunity to see parts of Michigan I wouldn’t normally be able to see. I wanted to document more, but it was a business trip and time was a luxury. (TikTok has more Detroit stuff) All in all, extremely grateful. Rest in peace Rashaad ♾️ by @fivexworld

Did some “slow traveling” this past Labor Day on my way back from Atlanta, and made a stop at @gilchristbluespringsstatepark . Heard about Blue Springs for last couple months now, and decided to finally make the trip happen. It’s some the clearest fresh water, I’ve ever swam in, and I’m already to go back. Shout out to @_georgia_hikes_ for putting me on the spot and follow them if you love spending time in nature like I do. by @fivexworld

I started getting involved in film making in 2018 and Filmmaking has continued to allow me to have fulfilling experiences and introduce me to community of creatives. That being said, the latest film I worked on ( @grannysdaughtersfilm ) has taken me to Miami for the @urbanfilmfestivals . I got hear from some of the titans of the industry and see films from local filmmakers. Editing @grannysdaughtersfilm allowed me to stretch and grow as a filmmaker. I was focused on painting the world of the Historic Westend ( @atlantawestend )and showing the silent pressures people of that community got through, outside of the dialogue. Adding texture and context in the most subtle ways, to support the plot of this story. I will always have love for Post-production and bringing the hard work of so many people together, and adding those final small details that can make a world of difference. I’m excited for the next screening of Granny’s Daughters and what project I’ll be working on next! 🤔💭🔥🔁🧘🏿‍♂️ by @fivexworld
