Spent the full moon dancing at @fullmoonpoledancestudio! 🌕 This was the most comfortable and least awkward I’ve felt since coming back to class so it was exciting to feel a sliver of that old ease and familiarity. Can’t wait for next time!

What a stunning show last night - I’m still all blissed out! The angel witches sounded hauntingly beautiful and @toriamos blew me away as always.

I realized I’ve been listening to her music for 30 years! And I think the fact that she’s still my number 1 artist on Spotify is a pretty rare and special thing. Her music transcends age, phase of life, and circumstance. And the songs speak to me in different ways as I change and grow.

My love for her will last a lifetime. ❤️♾️

I was just going to post this in my stories because I’m not happy with how I did, but I decided that it’s important to document beginnings. And I do fully intend to make this the beginning of my second pole journey.

Last night I took my first pole class at a studio since 2024! I couldn’t believe how nervous I was, way more than before my first-ever pole class back in 2013. The choreo challenged me and left me feeling weak and discouraged, but I went ahead and signed up for another class this weekend.

I want to give a shout out to @lux_atl for her strong words of encouragement last October when I performed in Atlanta for School of Stripcraft. She told me that I need to be dancing, and I feel that deep in my soul. I may never be able to do some of the tricks I could before my younger son was born, but I’m okay with that as long as I get to dance again.

I also want to thank @wonderrllost_ for pushing me to sign up, I never would have had the courage to try again without your support. And thank you @lavender.fun for introducing me to @fullmoonpoledancestudio and for coming to my first class with me!

Here’s to sharing even when it’s far from perfect! I’m proud that I showed up, and I’m looking forward to being a part of this amazing and expressive art form again.

After leaving the redwoods we spent the rest of the week in Redding visiting family and decided to bookend the trip with big trees.
