Last summer I spent 9 weeks in SE Asia and 4 of them were exploring Laos from top to bottom. Here are some scenes from a 4 day motorcycle tour I did around what's known as Thakhek Loop, which is in the middle of the country and is dotted with unbelievable sights to take in

I've been to over 40 countries and I consider myself an adventurer, driven by inspiration and natural beauty and that said...Laos is truly one of the most incredible places I have ever taken in. The kind genuine people, the culture, the landscapes, the caves, the lagoons, the springs, the simplicity...all so impressive and awe inspiring

I was fortunate enough to take the second half of Laos in with a beautiful girl I met in Vietnam the month before, which brightened the journey even more. Editing these photos today took me back to the blissful moments we shared in such an astounding place

This was one of the most randomly awesome nights I've had in a while... @sashamasakowski Libra party at @saturnbarnola with so many amazing musicians, like @yusa_music @martin_masakowski @aminascottmusic @victorcampbell.art @tascheandthepsychedelicroses switching out every few songs, most of which were Cuban!

The light in the club was almost non existent, which made shooting a challenge but the vibe was super high!

It was incredible to revisit Mont Alban, one of Mesoamerica's most stunning archeological sites this summer, an hour motorcycle ride from Oaxaca City.

Unlike during Covid, when I was there last and the museums were all closed, I got to see the incredible artifacts recovered from here when it was initially excavated, which made seeing it this time all the more special.

This whole region in southern Mexico is such a vibe

@melvinsdotcom blew me away with @coadyscottwillis as a second drummer opening for @acidbath.official with @highonfireband and @windhand Saturday night at @ucscquarryamp in Santa Cruz...such an incredible evening at an absolutely gorgeous amphitheater carved out of the mountain surrounded by redwoods and the riffs were HEAVYYYYY...

Some vibes from our first few days on the volcanic Lake Atitlan in the small village of San Marcos in SW Guatemala this Summer. I can't speak highly enough of the natural beauty, serenity and culture around the lake and it was only by chance that we had this experience at all.

It was my plan to return to the Yucatan and spend our time on the beaches and cenotes for a couple weeks after we left the island of San Pedro in Belize but the sargassum was so bad there and all over the Yucatan when we were there in early August, I decided to pivot and get us off the Caribbean. I looked into Guatemala (that had frankly never been high on my hit list) and was drawn to this place and others in the country, and so glad it turned out the way it did

Looking back on my time in Muang Ngoy, a small village tucked way up in the northern jungle of Laos, an hour boat ride up the Nam Ou river from Nong Kiaw, few people rarely make it to.

This was a very special place...I met some wonderful people here that I'll never forget. Some were living completely off the land and wouldn't have it any other way, other's were so surprised to have an American at their house for dinner, they feed me river snails right off their plate that they had harvested earlier in the day.

The photos of the monks being fed by the locals was a Laos sunrise ritual every morning. I caught several of these in various spots traveling in the country for a month last summer.

Without a doubt, one of the most incredible countries and cultures I have ever visited

Spent a few days on the lake island of Flores, up in the NE of Guatemala this summer, mostly to check out Tikal but the sinking Venice'like island itself was magnificent! We really enjoyed our time here, just getting out feet wet in Guatemala for the first time for the next 2 weeks of adventures & exploration to come!

Here's a few scenes from my time in Nong Kiaw last summer...a small, beautiful & tranquil village on the Nam Ou River in northern Laos. I climbed to the top of the very steep & muddy Phadeng mountain on the other side of the river from where I stayed to get some of these shots. This was a very special and serene area in the month I spent exploring the country from north to south. I'll never forget it and hope to return
