This year’s @redcharitygala was very special in so many ways.

For one, the featured designer is one of my oldest and dearest friends, @jcbuendia_. I first met JC in 1997 and he started dressing me up in 1998 when he made my suits in my weekly show Keep and Dancing in ABS-CBN. Since then our friendship grew and to this day remains one of my best friends. And another reason this evening meant so much to me was that it was @ayenlaurel21 ’s first time attending the gala—all for the love of JC.

JC stayed true to his core as a designer: clean, elegant, wearable, and timeless. He never compromised his vision and presented a sublime collection of beautifully crafted pieces that will be worn and treasured for years to come adorned in @jewelmer 's finest.

The finale was especially emotional for JC and for all of us who are very close to him. He dedicated the show to his mother, Corazon, who continues to inspire him in creating pieces that showcase his mastery of the art of fine clothing. Tita Zonie must have been beaming with pride from Heaven.

Bravo, JC. We are so incredibly proud of you, and we love you dearly. It all happened in God’s perfect time.

Congratulations as well to @seaprincess888 and @kayetinga on another milestone in a partnership that has built an enduring legacy, one that continues to champion Philippine fashion while making a meaningful difference through altruism.

Being part of @starcinema ’s Always Yours, Never Mine has truly been an honor and a privilege.

I have always wanted to work with Direk @cathygarciasampana @juliabarretto and @garciajoshuae and what an experience it was to witness their brilliance firsthand. The chemistry Julia and Joshua share in this film, together with how much they have grown as actors, literally made my jaw drop.

I have always admired great actors who not only excel in their craft, but are even better human beings when the cameras stop rolling. Another actor I was so happy to finally work with was @bianxa who played my daughter in the film. Julia, Joshua, and Bianca each gave such nuanced, truthful, and deeply felt performances, work that, for me, deserves to be remembered among Philippine cinema’s finest.

This film has so much heart. The screenplay by @v_r_v_, together with the vision of the entire creative team, spoke volumes, not only to me, but to everyone who experienced it during our premiere night. Every word on the page, brought to life by this incredibly talented cast, carried such visceral emotional impact.

Working with Star Cinema and the entire production and artistic team was more than I could ever have asked for. Excellence all throughout. The dedication, passion, and artistry of every single person involved are evident in how beautifully this film was brought to life.

Always Yours, Never Mine is now showing in cinemas nationwide.

Come watch Luna and Apollo navigate love, life, and the complexities of their world, and experience this beautiful film on the big screen.

It has been six years since you went to Heaven, Mama, and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about you. 🤍

Somehow, I still imagine you at home, sitting in front of your computer, doing your Mommy things. And then there are those moments when I instinctively want to give you a call at different times of the day, just like I always did, or randomly drop by just to say hi and give you a hug… and it hits me all over again that you are no longer here physically.

How I miss you so much, Mom.

I pray to God that He allows you to visit me in my dreams, where I can hug you tight, hear your voice again, and we can continue our endless kwentuhan, just like before. 🤍

After days of shooting Star Cinema’s “Always Yours, Never Mine", in cinemas this September 30— and all the hair products that came with it, my hair and scalp were definitely ready for some TLC.

So the very next day, it was straight to @svensonphl for my Bio-Scalp, Cleansing, Corrective and XLR8 treatments to give my scalp and hair the care they needed.

At this stage in my life, maintaining a healthy scalp and a full head of hair is something I definitely don’t take for granted. 😄

Self-care after a shoot? Absolutely.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing @theatregroupasia’s THE NOTEBOOK: THE MUSICAL ever since they announced the cast—and they literally brought us to tears.

We fell in love with Allie and Noah’s story when the film version of The Notebook came out in 2004, so getting to experience this beloved story as a Broadway musical, brought to life by some of our finest homegrown artists, was such a treat.

@mscelestelegaspi and @rodyvera as Older Allie and Noah were simply beautiful. Their chemistry, presence and honesty pulled every emotion out of us. There were moments when you could practically feel the entire theatre holding its breath.

@itsmesheena15 and @benedixramos as Younger Allie and Noah showed incredible range—the future of Philippine theatre is certainly bright with talents like these two.

And @itsmorissette and @laurencemossman as Middle Allie and Noah? Those voices! Their vocal prowess was on full display and they absolutely soared.

The supporting cast was equally remarkable, proving once again that there are truly no small roles. Every single person on that stage helped make this story come alive.

Congratulations to the entire company of THE NOTEBOOK: THE MUSICAL!

My dearest @ayenlaurel21 what a journey it has truly been—from the moment you were offered the role of Gloria Fajardo last November to the moment you took your final bow last July.

I knew it was from God the moment @robbieguevara asked me how old you were while we were rehearsing for A Christmas Carol. God had already begun orchestrating everything so beautifully.

You had simply dropped off the kids at rehearsals while Robbie was reading the script of On Your Feet!. He happened to be reading the dramatic kitchen scene when he looked up and saw you. From that moment on, the rest was history.

The instant you stepped onto that stage, you became Gloria Fajardo.

You brought the house down with “Mi Tierra,” captivated us in every scene, moved us to tears during your duet with @jasoncanela in “If I Never Got To Tell You,” and had us cheering for you during the Mega-Mix finale.

I was blessed to watch you perform eleven times, and you were consistently brilliant. You gave us something new with every performance while remaining completely truthful and grounded in your character.

Your return to theatre after sixteen years was nothing short of glorious. I am deeply grateful to everyone at @9workstheatrical for paving the way for you to return to your first love—the theatre.

To say that I am proud of you would be an understatement. You are a shining example of what it means to use your God-given talents to honor Him. Your humility, dedication, discipline, and passion for your craft make you a true beacon of excellence in our industry.

Congratulations, Hon! Here’s to more characters to explore, more songs to sing, and more production numbers to dance in.

It has been a week since you opened in @9workstheatrical ’s On Your Feet!, and all the hard work you poured into this show has paid off beautifully.

Your return to musical theatre after 16 years is nothing short of glorious. Just like your character’s name, Gloria—meaning glory, fame, and renown—this moment is a testament to your dedication and love for your craft.

Hearing you sing and watching you shine every time you step onstage brings me to tears—literally.

Ayen is an award-winning actress, singer, and producer whose remarkable career in the performing arts spans more than three decades. From her breakthrough performance as Sita in Rama Hari to acclaimed roles in ATANG – Dulang May Musika, Grease, A Chorus Line, Once on This Island, and more, Ayen has long been celebrated as one of the country’s most distinguished stage performers.

Beyond theater, she also has an extensive career in television and film, appearing in beloved series and films such as Amaya, Start-Up PH, Can’t Buy Me Love, Here Comes the Bride, and Ang Huling Henya.
