Where abstract gets messy, pop art gets loud, horses run wild, dogs steal the show, and figurative art ties it all together—Creativity with no rules😄

POSTS STORIES REELS

🎶 I SAW THE SIGN… 🎶

And apparently the sign said:
“FAB… are your paintings ready? ” 🤣🤣🤣 Of course they are, ready, wrapped, delivered.. ready for you all little souls to see them😆😆😆

Driving along and LOOK WHAT I SPOTTED! 👀🎨
The Supermarché de l’Art is officially taking over Calgary — there’s no hiding from it now. It’s literally hanging over the road! 😂

So… follow the sign! ➡️🤣
📅 November 7th
📍 cSPACE Marda Loop

I’ll be there with a whole bunch of my slightly questionable creations 🤣 — astronauts, horses, bears, attitude, colour, a little madness and, of course, plenty of Fabism.

Come say hello, browse some incredible local art, and maybe take home something your walls didn’t even know they needed. 😆❤️🎨

Seriously though… I SAW THE SIGN.
Now I suppose I have to show up. 🤣🤣🤣

See you November 7th! ❤️

And then there is Midnight Stable… 🖤🐴

Another one of those paintings that somehow became one of my VERY favourites.

Although, as we established yesterday, I apparently have about 37 “very favourites,” so take that statement with a grain of salt. 🤣🤣🤣

But seriously… LOOK AT HIM.

Sunglasses. Crown. Cigar.
“Just Attitude.”
“I’m Smokin’ Hot.”

This horse doesn’t live in a stable. He owns the stable. Probably charges rent to the other horses. 🤣🤣

Midnight Stable is pure Fabism — colour, humour, attitude and absolutely no interest whatsoever in behaving himself.

I painted him to make people smile… and somehow ended up falling completely in love with him myself. ❤️

So yes, he joins that dangerous little category of paintings where I start thinking…

“Maybe I don’t actually NEED to sell this one…” 😅🤣

Artist problem #947.

#popart #horse #horseart #yycartist by @fl_artstudio

I have a confession… sometimes I love my own paintings a little TOO much to let them go. 🤣🤣🤣

Among the big pieces I brought to the Under $200 Art Show this year were some of my absolute favourites — the huge Marilyn, Horse With No Name, and a few others that I was secretly hoping nobody would notice. 😂

Yes, I know. That’s probably not how selling art is supposed to work.

And before anyone takes the words “absolute favourites” too seriously… please remember that I change my mind approximately every 12 minutes. 🤣🤣🤣 So really, don’t believe anything I say.

But THESE TWO… ❤️

I held them back.

Not because they needed anything. Not because they weren’t ready.

I simply wanted to them to stay home and enjoy them myself for a while. 😍 Sometimes the artist gets first dibs!🤣

So for the rest of 2026, they’re staying right here with me.

Will you see them again in 2027?

Hmmmm… 🤔

Ask me in 12 minutes. 🤣🤣🤣

AND JUST LIKE THAT… IT’S OVER. ❤️🎨

The Under $200 Art Show came and went in what feels like the blink of an eye.

Seriously… didn’t we just start?! 🤣

Maybe time really does fly when you’re having far too much fun. And we DID have fun. The conversations, the laughter, meeting new people, seeing familiar faces, watching paintings find their new homes, spending time with so many wonderfully talented artists… I’m already missing it. ❤️

To every single person who came through those doors, stopped to look at my work, had a laugh with me, shared a kind word, followed my crazy little artistic journey — and especially to those who chose to take one of my paintings home — THANK YOU.

As artists, we spend so many hours alone in our studios creating things that begin as nothing more than a strange little idea in our heads. Then one day we put them out into the world and hope someone connects with them.

When you do… it means more than you probably realize. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Artspot, the incredible team, all the volunteers, and my fellow artists. You are such a talented, generous, slightly crazy bunch of humans, and I feel very lucky to be part of it all. 🥰

And now I’m thinking…

Oh.. I just had a genius idea…why dont we have a SUMMER version of the Under $200 Show???

BAHHHHH! 🤣🤣🤣

But DON’T BE SAD! The fun isn’t over for long because the Under $100 Art Shows are coming! 🥳🎨

Same place.
So many talented artists.
So much incredible art.
And I can pretty much guarantee… just as much fun. 🤣

So MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR DECEMBER! ❤️🎄🎨

Until then, I suppose I should go back to my studio…

Apparently the 2027 herd isn’t going to paint itself. 🤣🤣🤣

From the bottom of my heart — THANK! 🙏❤️

WELL… SHE WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO TAKE ONE! 🤣🎨❤️
And then somehow… TWO Fabisms followed her home! 😂😂
A HUGE thank you to this wonderful lady for choosing not one, but TWO of my paintings! ❤️ Seeing that big smile while she’s holding them makes this crazy artist ridiculously happy.
At this rhythm, I think I’d better start preparing now… 🤣
I haven’t even finished the 2026 show and I’m already thinking:
“Okay Fab… better get back into that studio and start working on the 2027 herd!” 🎨🤣
To everyone who has bought one of my paintings, stopped to chat, laughed at my crazy titles, supported the artists, or simply came to enjoy the show — THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. ❤️ It means more than you know.
And guess what?!
ONE. MORE. DAY!!! 🥳🎨
And the last day is going to be FUN because everything comes down onto the floor! 😳🤣
Which means paintings EVERYWHERE. Big ones. Little ones. Quiet ones. Crazy ones. Serious ones pretending not to be crazy… 😂
SO. MUCH. ART.
Frankly, there may be WAY TOO MUCH CHOICE. 🤣🤣
Come wander through, meet the artists, dig through all those fabulous paintings and maybe find something you didn’t even know you needed until it starts yelling:
“PICK ME!!! I WOULD LOOK AMAZING IN YOUR HOUSE!” 😂🎨❤️
One last day, people!!! LET’S GO! 🥳❤️ #artspotyyc #under200artshow #under200artshowyyc #yycevent #calgaryevents by @fl_artstudio

🐒❤️ THIS LITTLE MONKEY FOUND A HOME!! ❤️🐒
I am SO happy and grateful to see this cheeky little guy heading off with his new family! 🥰
But a small warning to his new owners…
DO NOT believe him when he says, “Just one more game…” 🎮🤣🤣
You’ll still be there at 2 a.m. while he insists he’s almost finished. 😅
A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has bought one of my pieces over the past few days. Every time one of my paintings finds a new home, it means so much to me. ❤️ Knowing that something I created in my crazy little artist brain connected with someone enough that they wanted to take it home… well, that never gets old. 🥹❤️
And we’re NOT DONE YET! 🎨🥳
The show is on for TWO MORE DAYS, from 11–7 PM! Come wander around, see an incredible amount of amazing art, meet the artists, have a chat, laugh a little, and maybe discover that one piece that refuses to let you leave without it. 😅
And finally, to my fellow artists, Emma and her team, and every single volunteer who has worked so hard to make this happen…
A great big, enormous, slightly inappropriate FAT THANK YOU!!! 🤣❤️
You are all such amazing souls. The work, energy, kindness and support behind an event like this is incredible, and I’m so grateful to be part of it.
Now… TWO DAYS LEFT!
Come say hello! ❤️🎨🐒
And remember…
“Just one more game” is ALWAYS a lie. 🤣🤣🤣

🎨 IT’S ALMOST SHOWTIME!!! 🎨
Look at that wall!! 😍 My little army of paintings has officially moved in and is waiting for you!
A HUGE thank you to all the amazing volunteers who worked so hard putting everything together — and especially to the wonderful humans who took care of hanging my wall of Fabism! 🤣❤️ With 60 paintings from me alone, I may owe them coffee… possibly wine… possibly physiotherapy. 😂
And WOW — there is SO MUCH BEAUTIFUL ART at this show! So many artists, so many styles, so much creativity all under one roof. Whether you’re looking for something for that lonely wall at home, searching for a unique gift, or just want to wander around and soak up some serious artistic goodness… COME!
Seriously, people… DON’T MISS THIS ONE! ❤️🎨
Come support local artists.
Come discover something unexpected.
Come meet the people behind the art.
Come have some fun!
And yes… I WILL BE THERE! 😃🙋‍♀️
The question is…
WILL YOU BE?? 😏🎨❤️
Come find me. I’ll be the one pretending to behave beside a wall that clearly proves otherwise. 🤣🤣🤣

🎨 WELL… THAT’S IT! THEY’RE GONE! 🤣
The paintings have officially left the building!!! 60 paintings delivered today. SIXTY. 😳🎨 And because apparently I don’t know how to do anything quietly or reasonably… it took TWO TRIPS! 🤣🤣
Months of painting, experimenting, laughing at my own ideas, questioning my sanity, adding “just one more thing,” and creating a whole lot of Fabism… and now they’re ready for the Under $200 Art Show THIS WEEKEND! 🥳
Now comes the fun part — YOU!
Come out, see an incredible amount of original art, meet some seriously talented artists, discover something you didn’t know you needed until you saw it… and maybe take a little piece of art home with you. ❤️
There is truly something special about buying original art. You’re not just decorating a wall — you’re taking home a tiny piece of someone’s imagination, madness, heart… and in my case, possibly questionable sense of humour. 🤣
My job is done.
60 paintings delivered. ✔️
Two trips survived. ✔️
Studio suspiciously empty. ✔️
Artist exhausted but ridiculously excited. ✔️🤣
Now all that’s missing is YOU!
Come say hello, meet the artists, enjoy the atmosphere and have some fun with us this weekend! 🎨❤️
And if you see one of mine that makes you laugh, smile or say “What on earth was she thinking?!”…
Mission accomplished. 🤣🤣🤣
SEE YOU AT THE SHOW! 🥳🎨❤️
#under200artshow #artspot #calgaryevents #yycartist #yycartists by @fl_artstudio

THAT’S IT. BRUSHES DOWN. STEP AWAY FROM THE CANVAS. 🤣🎨
This is officially my LAST painting for the Under $200 Art Show! 🥳
And apparently I decided to finish quietly and elegantly…
HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Have we met? 🤣🤣🤣
Meet “Some Like It FAB” 💋🫧👑
Because nothing says restraint quite like Marilyn, bubblegum, hot pink, sunglasses, a crown and enough colour to cause a small electrical disturbance. 😂

This year I also decided to take a bit of a chance. 😬 I’m bringing a very different collection from what I offered last year — more colour, more attitude, more weird little ideas escaping from my head… basically, a whole lot more Fabism. 🤣🎨
Will people love it?
Will they wonder what happened to me?
Will security quietly escort me out? 🤣🤣🤣
WE SHALL SEE. Wish me luck!! 😂🤞❤️
On Monday, about 60 paintings will be heading to the show. SIXTY. 😳
At this point I’m not sure I need a vehicle…
I may need a moving truck. 🚚🤣
Possibly two strong men.
A loading dock.
And someone standing nearby saying, “Fab… next year maybe paint 20?” while I completely ignore them. 🤣
My studio has been absolute organized chaos, I’ve painted like a woman possessed, and I have loved every crazy minute of it. ❤️
Now somebody PLEASE hide my canvases until Monday because knowing me, I’ll wake up tomorrow and think…
“Hmmm… I could probably squeeze in just ONE more.” 🤦‍♀️🤣🎨
#under200artshow #calgaryart #calgaryevents #supermarchedelart #popart by @fl_artstudio

🤣🤣🤣 Ohhh baaaad me, this may be gloriously inappropriate 🤣

GOD SAVE THE ATTITUDE! 👑🤘🤣
Okay… I KNOW I’m pushing the boundaries a little here. 😂
But hear me out…
If I had been given ONE DAY to dress the Queen, I’m telling you right now — punk was happening. Leather jacket. Skull. Anarchy symbol. A splash of colour. Maybe a little attitude.
And don’t tell me she didn’t have it in her. I KNOW SHE DID. 🤣👑🤘

I’m almost finished painting for the Under $200 Art Show, so really… why quietly cross the finish line when you can come crashing through it wearing a crown and a punk jacket? 💥😂

Where would you hang this one? A funky entrance? Home bar? Office? Living room? Right beside the family portraits just to confuse Grandma? 🤣

One thing is certain: nobody else is going to have a Queen portrait quite like THIS one. This could only have escaped from the studio of a slightly crazy artist. 🎨😈
Actually… wait a minute.
Maybe I should send it to Ottawa. 🇨🇦📦🤣🤣🤣

HORSE WITH NO NAME 🐴😎💥
Apparently I’ve reached the stage of my artistic career where I put sunglasses on a horse, give him a cigar, crown him royalty… and call it ART. 🤣🤣
And you know what?
I have ZERO regrets.
A little graffiti, a little neon, a horseshoe for luck, a crown because obviously he thinks he’s important… 👑 and enough attitude to get him kicked out of at least three respectable galleries. 😂
This is Fabism in full gallop:
No rules.
No beige.
No behaving.
Just paint, humour and whatever ridiculous idea gallops through my head. 🤣🎨
And now that I’ve seen him hanging in a beautiful room… DAMN.
He cleans up well. 😎🐴
“Horse With No Name”
Because “Sir Fabulous McTroublemaker” was apparently too long. 🤣🤣🤣
This #under200artshow piece # is fairly big - 54x 30.
