October 7, 2023.
A day that changed so much.

There are moments in life when you are in the middle of a crisis and it feels impossible to imagine anything different.

You wonder:
When will this end?
Will I ever feel normal again?
Will things ever get better?

And then, slowly, time passes.

Not necessarily because everything becomes perfect. Not because the pain disappears. But because circumstances change. We change. Life keeps moving.

That is one of the hardest and most hopeful truths about difficult seasons:
the way you feel today is not a guarantee of how you will feel forever.

When we’re anxious, grieving, overwhelmed, or living through uncertainty, our minds can convince us that this is how it will always be. Anxiety has a way of turning a moment into a prediction.

But life doesn’t work that way.

Things change. Circumstances change. People grow. Doors open. Healing happens in ways we couldn’t always imagine.

And for me, this is also where emunah becomes so deeply meaningful.

Believing in God doesn’t mean we won’t be scared.
It doesn’t mean we won’t question.
It doesn’t mean we won’t cry.

It means that even when I can’t see what comes next, I can believe that there is a next.

Sometimes faith is simply holding onto the belief that I don’t have to understand everything happening right now to believe that this moment is not the entirety of my story.

So on October 7th, we remember.
We grieve.
We honor those we lost and those who are still carrying unimaginable pain.

And we also remind ourselves:

A moment can be incredibly painful without being permanent.

If you’re going through something difficult right now, try not to ask yourself, “How am I going to live with this forever?”

Just ask:

“What do I need to get through today?”

You don’t need to know exactly how the story ends to keep moving forward.

Keep going. Keep believing. Keep hoping. by @fl_therapist

POV: You’re heading into the weekend and realizing you don’t have to solve your whole life by Monday.

Consider this your reminder to stop overthinking, put the pressure down, and actually enjoy what your weekend has to offer.

Maybe that means slowing down and spending time with family.
Maybe it’s sleeping a little more.
Maybe it’s praying more.
Maybe it’s doing absolutely nothing.
Or maybe you just need some time alone.

You don’t always need to be working on yourself. Sometimes, you just need to live. 🤍 by @fl_therapist

There are seasons in life when you don’t quite recognize yourself. When the person you used to be feels so far away, and you wonder if that version of you is ever coming back.

I’ve learned that sometimes your spark doesn’t disappear it just gets buried underneath the exhaustion, the changes, the disappointments, the responsibilities, and the things you’ve been carrying quietly.

And finding your way back doesn’t always happen all at once. Sometimes it’s one small choice, one brave step, one moment of choosing yourself again.

So if you’re in that season right now, be patient with yourself. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Keep going. Keep showing up. Keep believing that there is still so much life ahead of you.

No matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, you will get your spark back.

You will. 🤍 by @fl_therapist

LIFE DOESN’T WAIT.

Take the chance.
Say yes.
Try something new.

Before “someday” becomes
“I wish I had.” by @fl_therapist

Either the fear goes away, or the opportunity does.

Growing up in a home where our mother came from another country, she always instilled in us a deep appreciation for the opportunities we have here. She taught us to ask the question, take the chance, try something new, and never be afraid to put ourselves out there.

She reminded us that not every opportunity will work out, but you’ll never know unless you’re willing to try. And through every new idea, every risk, and every dream, she was and still is our number one fan. 🤍 by @fl_therapist

I share this with my clients because It’s a powerful reminder that the things we struggle through can eventually become wisdom, hope, and guidance for someone else. by @fl_therapist

Don’t give a 10-minute problem a 24-hour lease.
Not everything deserves the rest of your day.
Feel it.
Learn from it.
Let it move through you.

Then keep living. 🤍 by @fl_therapist
