People are sometimes puzzled how I went from studying psychology and neuroscience to working in entertainment publicity. That road leads back to @garthbrooks. I was part of the team that booked and promoted his show on my college campus which led to
ins with a concert promoter I loved working with. The first press conference I ever helped organize was for one of his albums. I learned a lot of things not just about publicity, but also showmanship, storytelling and even how to duck a punch when a drunk person wasn’t happy with their seats (hello Texas Stadium NBC special!) Last night in Dallas was a little like time travel, especially seeing how many of the original folks are still part of that family. Oh, and since it was her Mother’s Day present, mom loved it too. 🔥 taken in AT&T Stadium by @flackadoodle

Day one is officially here! Here’s to new beginnings on a lot where I have spent many many hours, but never as an employee. (I also realized I have a weird working knowledge of the parking garage thanks to all those Alias shoots…) Looking forward to a new adventure ❤️ by @flackadoodle

Today was my beautiful cousin Jami’s celebration of life after her passing earlier this week from complications with covid. Hearing everyone’s stories - even virtually - reinforced just how much she lived loudly, loved fiercely and had a wicked laugh that filled every room she was in. RIP @jpsouthard and my thoughts are with everyone dealing with the gaping hole of missing her presence. And to quote one of her lifelong friends who spoke at the service “I’m going to try to keep these stories PG-13 for the kids.” ❤️ by @flackadoodle

If you had told young "I-want-to-be-a-brain-surgeon-but-I-really-really-love-movies" me that this would happen, I would never have believed you -- mostly because I didn't know what a publicist was or what they did.

I may not have had the most straightforward path to where I am now, but learning from amazing filmmakers, producers, actors, mentors and colleagues has been the best part of the journey.

Congrats to all my friends in the Class of 2020 -- I think I'm going to go shred my thesis on "vasopressin and the supraoptic nucleus" now! by @flackadoodle

THIRTEEN. Evidently this is the official age where photos are no longer allowed so parents have to look through their camera roll and get nostalgic. Not sure where the time went, but so proud of the person you are becoming. Happy Birthday Dashiel! by @flackadoodle
