Massachusetts girls flag football is just 27 SCHOOLS AWAY by October 1st from a major milestone. 🏈🔥

🏫 TAG A MASSACHUSETTS HIGH SCHOOL that needs girls flag
📲 SHARE THIS POST so it reaches more communities
📩 SEND IT TO AN ATHLETIC DIRECTOR OR COACH

By Oct. 1, 15% of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s member schools must submit letters of support to the MIAA for flag to gain emerging sport status, the first step toward becoming an official varsity sport. If they don’t reach 15% by the deadline, they’ll have to wait until Oct. 1 next year to try again. As of Saturday, Sept. 26, 34 of the 57 needed have been collected.

And this push has some serious support behind it.

Patriots Chairman & CEO Robert Kraft and Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey are among those backing the growth of girls flag football and the push toward varsity status in Massachusetts.

But getting there still requires schools to step up.

📣 MASSACHUSETTS — WE NEED YOUR HELP.

If your high school doesn’t offer girls flag football, start the conversation TODAY. Parents, players, coaches and supporters: reach out to your athletic director and school administration and let them know you want a girls flag program.

27 more schools. Let’s help make it happen.

Who needs to add girls flag? Tag them below. 👇🏈
