Going through the Flail Archives and found an original ad poster from @thelightninluke 's first release back in 1972. It originally came inside cartons of cigarettes that were marketed towards pregnant women. Society has come a long way since then but Luke oddly hasn't and still delivers that same great, healthful taste with 10% less tar.

TICKET GIVEAWAY

We’re giving away a pair of tickets to see Wicked Shallows + King Strang + Chonk! at @showdownportland on Friday, October 16th!

@wickedshallows bring their self-described “whiskey punk,” captivating audiences with spirited melodic chaos and grim tales of what is, what was and what could be.

@kingstrangmusic is the one-man-band project of Michael Sinner, serving up old-time stomp music that pulls from blues, ragtime and jazz, armed with resonator guitar, stomp box and kazoo.

@chonkitup blends surrealist folk, rock and blues with haunting melodies, gritty rhythms and lyrics that wander through the ethereal, the inedible and the intergalactic.

While I don’t believe that metrics are a valid measure for the quality of one’s art, especially in a place where the most poignant art is often suppressed, we want to thank you all for 20k views on our feature prezzentayshun for “Sisyphus” which dropped two weeks ago! Not bad for a coupl’a bums shooting a flick in a back alley in Philly! Who’s stoked for the rekkid?! by @flail_records
