Now that the weather has been cooler, I’ve ‘hit’ the dye pans again and dyed up a colour way that I’ve been playing with for a while. A little while ago I had time to tinker with my watercolours and paint a few mussels and this new colour way was inspired by all those beautiful molluscs. taken in Boscastle, Cornwall, UK by @flashfletch1

Well, just finished my second Andrea Mowry Velvet Mirror Cowl. It’s such a great colourwork pattern option and looks a lot more fancy and difficult than it is. I used The Camel’s Yarn Suri Alpaca in Neptune, so soft and Botanical Yarn’s Cotyledon Undulata 4ply which I think has worked really well as a contrasting colour and offers lovely stitch definition. taken in Boscastle, Cornwall, UK by @flashfletch1

I meant to put this on my grid, and thought I had!? Never mind, here it is Andrea Mowry’sVelvet Mirror Cowl, which I test knitted for Sophie at Botanical Yarn. Her Suri Silk ( the dark mulberry) makes this cowl so squidgable and not at all prickly. So…I might have to knit I’ve of my own to keep this time! 😂 by @flashfletch1

First FO of 2022! Loved this yarn from The Camel’s Yarn in Turkish Delight DK, plump and squidgy soft. Great pattern from Abbye Knits, the Eucalipto hat with a really interesting stitch I’ve not used before. I am so chuffed, after a few false starts I’m getting the hang of heel turns and gussets! I think the trick is not to stress about making the best sock ever, just enjoy the process and learn a little more each time x by @flashfletch1
